Military Fiction Books Novels & Stories

I found myself turning to find Mykhol. Mykhol is on his couch. He has another book in his hand, but he seems to be reading it this time. I look at the title. It’s a military book. I have to cringe a little at that. It’s one of the few subjects I am not so fond of reading. But outside of the book choice, I find no other fault. It is quite nice. I find myself surprised. Who would ever have guessed I would think such a thing around Mykhol? But it’s true.

I browsed the shelves, and I read the titles. Into the fire, A firsthand Account of the extraordinary Battle in Afghan War by Dakota Meyer, Bing West 500 Days, Secrets and Lies in the Terror Wars- Kurt Eichenwald The War for crown and Empire There are all sorts of books about wars here. I paused in front of a book that I deemed the most interesting. I pulled it out of the shelf and stared at it, contemplating whether to get on with it or not. I can choose a much thinner book… The 33 Strategies of War- Robert Greene

Sleep refused to come. My mind felt restless. Maybe there was something in this room that could help me remember. Slowly, I stood up. I began looking around. The bookshelf immediately caught my attention. Dozens of books filled the shelves. I pulled several out. There were history books, pack law books and training manuals. Then I noticed something else. There were fiction novels; thrillers, mysteries and crime novels. I blinked. Apparently, I enjoyed those. "I don't remember reading any of these."

“Are you guys ready to finally do as we were formed to do?” My eyes glared at Callighan as he lifted his head up to the sky. Once that loud howl came from him, we all prepared ourselves as the wolves charged at us altogether. All we could do was fight to our hearts desire. Some of them read multiple times judging by the cracking of the binding. History. Military strategy. Economics. Law. Psychology. Philosophy. One entire shelf of biographies of powerful men across different centuries and continents. And then something that surprised me. Fiction. A whole section of it tucked into the far corner like something private. Novels. Some of them old enough that the titles had faded. I pulled one out carefully. A Russian novel. Thick. Dense. The kind of book that required patience and silence and the willingness to sit inside discomfort for extended periods.

Maurice walked ahead as I scurried behind him, gazing around at the unending land of graves, "Growing up, my grandfather would tell me stories, about how people started to go missing in a bulk 50 years ago, the police had no leads, and when no one was coming forward with information, one after the other the cases became cold, and the public became outraged, started a fucking world war, end of the fucking world," he chuckled with a snort, looking back at me who was fighting to keep up, I was growing weaker and weaker with every step I took, "Why? Why were they fighting?" I swallowed hard, "Instead of trying to figure out where these missing people are?"

Only God knows how happy I am at this moment especially as she places her hand on my shoulder. From the regal department, we walk over to other sections, their names are boldly stated on them so you know what thr books in the shelves are about. I come across the military department, the sections are called departments here. Being a gamma and a trained warrior, I get delighted as I reach here. "This is the first place I'd love to pick some books and more books. I'm obsessed about the military." "Wow, this is nice. Of course, you got to be. Aren't you the gamma of your pack?"

"Five days, Clara. We've barely spoken in five days." "I know. The whole house feels it. Even the staff are walking on eggshells." Clara glanced at her. "Do you miss him?" "Every day. Every hour." The admission came out quietly. "But missing him doesn't mean I trust him." "Fair enough." Giovanni's study was imposing as always—dark wood, leather furniture, walls lined with books and family history. Maps covered his massive desk, red marks indicating territories, blue for allies, black for contested zones.

Ace explained. "Ok." Lainey agreed. She wanted no part of that. Some of her favorite romance books to read were Biker Romances. She had no idea how real or made up they were. But normally people got their ideas from somewhere, right? They walked through the main room which was oddly clean and spacious. She figured for a bunch of guys it would be dirty and beer cans or bottles everywhere. A lot of the stories she read were like that. But then she remembered, they were all retired military.

Surprisingly, I don't find the idea disturbing. Feeling boredom as it sets in quickly, I make my way over to the bookshelf. I start to peruse the titles and am shocked at what I find. I see the House of Night Series, The Twilight Series, Forbidden Knowledge, Harry Potter Trilogy, and various books on Military Protocols all with black covers. The books are all in good condition too. Not interested in any of the military books I reach for the first book in the House of Night Series. As I take the book over to the couch to settle in, the door swings open.
