The mimic turned toward us again. Liam and Aleksander blocked it, both of them swinging with everything they had. But the mimic didn’t fight like a person. It moved like a prediction. Every punch Liam threw, it dodged before the punch even came. Every time Aleksander grabbed for its arm, it bent its body at strange angles and slipped out like a shadow. Xves joined them then, his movements sharper, faster, more precise. But even he couldn’t fully catch it. It was like fighting a mirror that already knew your next move.

Siron said, on high alert. Stefan smiled. But this time, the smile widened unnaturally, reaching all the way to his cheeks. “Of course not. Because I haven’t written it yet.” Stefan’s eyes glowed bright yellow. From his back, two shadow-like tentacles crawled out, sealing the door and windows. “Welcome, Guardian. I am The Mimic. And I’ve been waiting for you.”

With that said, he walked away and I bit on my lips. “Wait… the person you drew, does Lecturer Nikolai knows him?” Gideon asked and I just flashed him an awkward smile. “Hell, you just got caught.” He laughed and I frowned. “I'm in a dilemma and you're busy laughing. How about I see your own artwork?” I stood up from the stood and poked my head to see his artwork. My breath hitched and my jaw dropped upon seeing a replica of myself on the drawing board. “Did.. did you just drew me?” I asked, bewildered.

Mia said, in the tone she used when she was agreeing with something she didn't believe. Ava spent lunch in the library running through the presentation structure one final time. It held up. She was cautiously satisfied. At twelve thirty she stood at the bathroom sink with cold water running over her wrists, the trick she had used before competitions since she was twelve, and looked at herself in the mirror with the honest attention she brought to things that mattered.

Clarissa jumped between them, putting up a hand toward each. “Blake! This is Mimi. The Mimi!” Clarissa shouted. Blake lowered his arms and stood upright, but he held on to his daggers. He continued to eye Mimi as Mimi glared back at him. “We are all friends!” Clarissa embellished. “No fighting!” Mimi huffed and shook his head. Blake’s eyes wandered behind her. Between her and Mimi was a lavender egg with rough scales adorning its surface. The egg would come up to Blake's thigh if it were sitting on the ground instead of on a chest-high pedestal.

Coco hesitated, wondering if she should just leave. Then, she grabbed her bag and took out a notepad and a pen. Coco drew a cartoon character on the paper and handed it to Lucas. "Here, this is for you. I hope you'll feel better." Lucas lowered his gaze to the paper she had handed to him. Coco had drawn a simple cartoon character of him. With a few simple strokes, she had captured his facial features precisely. The eyes bore a significant resemblance to his eyes, allowing others to recognize him in the drawing.

It looks much better than I thought. There’s a few t-shirts on the floor, and a desk that’s filled with papers. I walk over to it, and lift one of the papers up to see better, and I see that it’s a drawing. A beautiful drawing of a girl with freckles and bangs, hollow cheeks, full lips and big, round eyes. I drop the paper as I realize it’s me. I avoid looking into mirrors, because I don’t like what I see, but as I look through the papers I can clearly see that this man has more than one drawing of me.

she added. Mirabel shook her head. "There is a demon I once made an encounter with in another world, or should I say dimension." She said and opened the drawer in the table she was sitting on. She brought out an old scroll and stood up from the table and then proceeded to roll out the scroll on top of the table for all to see. "I drew her the moment I laid my eyes on her. I'm very good at drawing and painting. Her name is Rozra." Samira's eyes almost bulged out of her eyes, the picture Mirabel had shown to them was that of Rozralas.

Zeke was startled for a moment and could not help but smile at Mimi’s nonsensical look. After interacting with Mimi over the past few days, Zeke realized more and more that Mimi was actually a very charming woman. Her optimism would always be able to bring along an unending amount of happiness. In comparison to Zeke’s gloomy workaholic character, Mimi was like the sun, warm, and always able to bring laughter to those around her.
