Arc I – The Possession Begins Chapter 8: The Shattered Bond When Mira opened her eyes, she was no longer in her room. The world around her shimmered—a haze of pale blue and silver. The air hummed softly, like wind trapped in glass. Beneath her bare feet stretched what looked like water but felt like solid light. “This… is new,” she muttered. “Did I die again? Or is this, like, a magical Wi-Fi dead zone?” A voice answered, echoing through the vastness.

But Rica blocked it making the dust around the area immediately vanished. “Nice teamwork but not enough.” Mira praised Rica’s supportive stance but Mira was in her zero zone. Her attacks can come in every direction that made her Rica being thrown in the same direction as Isabelle with a surprise crescent kick from the left.

“There won't be any need for that.” Meanwhile, Mira was ready. She raised her hand, and the air shimmered. Three Mira illusions appeared beside her, each armed, each moving in sync. The attackers flinched. She whispered, “Let them see what I want.” Suddenly, the battlefield shifted. The attackers saw fire closing in, walls crumbling, their escape routes blocked. They panicked. One lunged, straight into a portal Mira opened beneath him. He vanished. Another swung at an illusion. It vanished in smoke.

The white witch came from inside. Mira grabbed the black bag next to her foot and walked to one of the benches in the backyard. She could feel Cohen’s eyes on her as he trained his Enforcers. Mira placed the black bag on the bench and unstrapped the strapers. The bag unrolled, revealing Mira’s melee weapons that she had been using in the past few years. Amanda knew how to operate and used guns but had a mass dislike of such a loud weapon just like Mira. “Freshly stoned,” Mira said, running her fingertips on one of the blades.
