I tilt my head back and squeeze the dropper into both eyes. The liquid feels cool against my eyes. I open them to be greeted with the green color that most werewolves have. I close the bottle and set it on the counter. Ella pokes her head out from behind me. We smile at each other through the mirror, and I swivel on my heels to face her.

Mirabela greeted everyone with a loud flap of her wings as she landed on the table, causing all the food and decorations to fly away. "Looks like you're all having a good time here?" Mirabela inquired, only to be met with silence. "Oh, don't be ashamed of me; I only came here to personally and warmly greet the arrival of your priestess," she continued, lifting one foot of her claws to show everyone her razor-sharp nails. "So tell me, where is she now?" she asked as she moved over to the table. "There is no arrival of a priestess that occured, Great Scandiaca, this is just a simple fiest," Mago explained.

I answered through the mind-link, “It’s about what I told you this morning. The stinging creatures.” “What about them?” “You have… powers, Priscilla. Something hidden. You can either heal them—or kill them. You did it with Henry, remember? I found a rogue this morning. Bitten—but not turned. Not fully. He’s still in his right mind. But not for long. He has a pregnant mate—she’s due in days. He begged for help. I don’t know how to save him… but you might.” “I don’t know how to heal anyone, Gabriel,” she shot back, her thoughts laced with panic and confusion. “You said I attract them. Mirabel didn’t know how to continue. His reply damned her spirit.
