The song pulsed through the walls of the room, looping endlessly, and by the time it started over for what must’ve been the tenth—no, twentieth—time, I knew rest was a lost cause.
My head throbbed with the rhythm, and each time the chorus returned, I wanted to scream out loud from sheer frustration. Worse, the lyrics dug into my head like a personal attack:
