Not just in age—but in purpose. And right now, they were watching Theoden like they were deciding whether to kill him or hear him out.

The beast didn’t seem to spot me as I watched in awe as the wolf’s song echoed through the night, a mournful yet enchanting melody that seemed to carry ancient wisdom and untamed longing.
