THE DOOR

THE DOOR

She didn't have much mana left, so she couldn't afford to miss a single strike. The first monster crested the edge. It was a massive, grey-skinned brute, its jaw slavering, its purple eyes wide with psychotic glee. It reached out a massive, clawed hand to grab her ankle. Mwajuma didn't back away. She stepped forward.

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

On the other hand, Maya gasped hard, her chest undulated violently, and her face was ashen. Solana tried her best to raise the giant ax, but just as she lifted it a few centimeters above the ground, it slammed down. At that time, she did not have the strength to swing her weapon at all. The other disciples leaned against each other, and they could barely stand. Everyone's faces showed endless exhaustion. "D*mn it —" Omar said bitterly as he looked at the ferocious monster. Soon, everything in front of him became blurry. The monster seemed to know that its opportunity came, and its fur stood. Then, just like a bow stretched to the furthest, the monster's body accumulated energy and was filled

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.

Harvested

Harvested

I whisper as my eyes take in the monster named Mangog. His skin is a mixture of red and orange. His massive head has six horns, and his gigantic three-fingered hands have four-inch claws ready to kill. His lips can't close over his fangs, and his tall body is stacked with bulging muscles. My heart immediately begins to pound again. Burk has to fight that! As Burk's name runs through my head, he emerges out from the champion area, looking nothing but calm. His knife is clutched in his hand, and he is approaching the Mangog as if he doesn't have a care in the world.

I’ve now read this book twice. It was fantastic the first time and I caught things I missed the second time. Great storyline, no rushing through the story and I felt like it ended with no loose ends. Can’t wait to read about more of the characters in the next book!

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

The announcer declared the single, solitary rule that we could either fight in our human form or beast form, before sending a blast of crackling magic into the air, signaling the beginning of the fight. Its head was an amalgamation of animal and human features, topped with horns that curled behind pointed ears. With the body of a lion, and the tail of a scorpion, the manticore was feared for its ferocity and poisonous sting. A sting that would kill a mortal within seconds.

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

Bound by the Monster I Created

I created a monster to ruin her. Now he’s ruining me. **** Helena spent her nights writing savage Alphas who dominated, punished, and shattered their women. The Luna’s Forbbidden Blood

The Luna’s Forbbidden Blood

But here, on the peak, the sky was a swirling vortex of black and gold. And there, at the center of the bone circle, stood the Monster. It was ten feet tall, a nightmare of shifting geometry. It had the shadow of a wolf, but its limbs were made of the same silver liquid as Julian’s eyes. It didn't have a face, just a vertical slit of violet light that bled static into the air. "Kael?" I stepped forward, the dagger held low.

The Monster's Nemesis

The Monster's Nemesis

The day that would have marked the beginning of a lifetime for us. Closing my eyes, I heaved a long exhale and propped my head against the headboard. Even though the curtained darkness of closed lids, it was her face was floated in—over and over again. It was the first time I realized that I might wear the skin of a monster, but my heart was still human. And I belonged to her. The pain that hit me came in waves. It clawed under my skin, infused with the blood in my veins, and drilled into the marrow of my bones until the ache made me hollow inside out.

My lover is a Monster

My lover is a Monster

Her body stiffened, and her eyes widened with shock. “Julie, what’s wrong?” Richard, the male nurse accompanying her, asked with concern. Julie didn’t respond. She ran closer, dropping to her knees beside Elizah’s body. With trembling hands, she removed the cloth covering the girl’s face. In an instant, Julie recoiled, her body trembling violently. “Elizah ....” she whispered in disbelief. “This can’t be.” When Julie tried to embrace her, Elizah screamed in terror. “Aaaah! Monster! Bastard!” she cried, shoving Julie away. Her body twisted wildly, her arms protecting herself as if fighting off a shadow only she could see.

Stuck In A Monster Loop

Stuck In A Monster Loop

The monster was required to tell its victim its core rules. And those rules came in three parts. Being killed by the monster triggers a loop. The loop has a limit on the number of cycles. The monster can take human form. Three rules, neat and precise. As for the "extra" rule it had told me—that it could alter memories—that was nothing but a lie. The logic was simple. If every loop erased my memory, the monster had absolutely no need to tell me about the loop at all.
