The animals run and fly around the room before dissolving. Taran smiles, “Can you make a dragon?” I smile, “I will try.” I think about Taran in his dragon form. Finally, I push out the ball of pink smoke from my hand as a dragon forms. It flies around the room and exhales pink smoke. I hold out my hand, letting it land on me. Taran sticks out his finger to touch it, only for the dragon to snap at him. “I’m sorry,” I quickly say while dissolving the dragon by waving my other hand.

“I will rip you open from neck to asshole if you do.” Wow. I’m about to scold him for his comment, but then decide against it. Somewhere along the way, Monty took on a role of authority, and undermining him in front of the other wolves would weaken that authority.
