If I didn't know better, I'd say he was worse, but who was I kidding? No one can ever out-monster Zade. That man was a heartless monster. My wolf snarled beneath, and I pressed a gentle kiss on Karl to calm the tornado erupting in my head and pretend my wolf isn’t just pushing me back into the obsession I vow to let go. “I will be alright as long as he takes our side.” I said, like that’s all I really want? And that I am not miserable for his touches and the way he groans right before he climax. Like I am not drowning every time his eyes flickered to me and then away, like I am air he is too tired to blow on. “He’s going to find the right blood.” My wolf snarled again, and my eyes slowly turned toward the confused boy. “Go to your room Karl, and call the maids if you need anything.”

That Felix is going to leave me alone, at least for a day to think, but instead, he starts laughing. “Run if you want,” he says, voice cold. “But don’t forget that I’m the Alpha. There is nowhere you can go where I can’t find you.” He ends the call, and the line goes dead. I want to scream or hit the wheel in frustration, but that's when the car slams into something hard and I shriek in surprise. "What the hell?!" The rain is brutal and I cock my head to the side, wondering what I just ran over.
