But here, on the peak, the sky was a swirling vortex of black and gold. And there, at the center of the bone circle, stood the Monster. It was ten feet tall, a nightmare of shifting geometry. It had the shadow of a wolf, but its limbs were made of the same silver liquid as Julian’s eyes. It didn't have a face, just a vertical slit of violet light that bled static into the air. "Kael?" Denver asked. “Sought of.” I looked around the room, I was laying on the bed with both men staring worriedly at me. Wolf monsters. Then she came.” “These wolf monsters, how do they look?” Doctor James asked curiously. “They are not just any monsters. They are big and dangerous.”

The flames engulfed the monster and the undead screamed and plummeted toward the ground below. The second monster reached for the child, fingernails long and curved like the huge talons on a harpy eagle.
