She vaguely remembered feeling parched and starving, then she remembered glimpses of strange images, followed by a hoard of infatuated girls. Each memory flashed before her one by one, snapping her back to reality. Feeling bile rise in her throat, Amelia couldn’t quite accept what had just happened. Every single one, every monster I’d killed, even the students I mistakenly killed when my powers went berserk.

He pinched his nose, and his eyes narrowed when he saw the monster in bed with scars all over its face. Evan jumped with fright and took a step back. "Who is this? Why did you allow this ugly thing onto your bed, Dad?" Frank sighed when he saw that Evan had no idea who the person was. That was when the person suddenly spoke in a horribly hoarse voice. "You must be a very busy man to have forgotten me in such a short time, Evan." Evan frowned and carefully scrutinized the monster in front of him. He asked hesitantly, "Are you… Rebecca?"
