**** Pov: Lupa. The forest is heavy with mist, the full moon cutting through the haze like a blade. I kneel on the damp earth, my knees sinking into moss, hands pressed to the ground as I whisper prayers to the Moon Goddess. It’s been years since I’ve felt her call this strong, a pull in my bones that drags me from my bed in the Nightshade compound. My silver hair hangs loose, catching the moonlight, and my breath steadies as I offer my heart to her guidance. Ember, our Luna, is fierce but young, and with Rowan and Caelen in her care, I need wisdom to steer her right.

The river, a mirror to the heavens above, reflected the moon's light, creating a serene and mystical ambiance around us. There, in the tranquility of the night, Kael nudged me to look down at my chest. Bathed in the silvery glow, my fur bore markings I hadn't noticed before. Three perfect crescent moons, each a mirror image of the one gracing the night sky. The marks were not just on my skin but were now a part of my very essence, represented in my wolf form as well.

Seven stones stood in a circle, and mosaic tiles had been set in a circular fashion to the center, where the image of the Moon Goddess was etched on the center circular tile. The gray stones were illuminated blue in the bright moonlight. Everyone stood around the outside of the circle holding their candles.
