Seraphina’s POV The morning sun rose over the Moonridge Palace, painting the sky in gold and rose. From the balcony, I could see the banners of every allied pack fluttering in the wind Nightfall’s black and silver wolves, Blood-Wolves crimson moon sigil and ours, the white crescent of Moonridge, shining at the center.

The rooftop was shimmering over the dark dazing night while the stars were shining over the horizon as the orange tinge vanished from the west. The wind gusted so loud that their hair blown upon their shoulders and flowed upon them. Jane continued to tell the story as they stared at the moon appearing over the west and it was gonna be a full circle now. The moon had that cream and dirty black color in it as the clouds shadowed over the left side of it. The rays of the moonlight over the rooftop shone as Marian smiled over the light that was connecting them to the moon.

The light of the sunset begins to reflect on the surface of the lake, making it even more beautiful, as it looked like a painting that was coming to life in front of me, I lose my breath as the colors mix from yellow, to orange and red, along with the blue of the sky, turning to a navy blue at the same time as the moon begins to make its presence felt. I can't think of anything but this magical moment, because this transformation from day to night is magnificent. At some point I can see the Solar Chariot moving away as the moon rises into the sky, it's so intrinsic in the colors and how the sky moves that I'm lost in this image. They aren’t exactly extinct but they go out of their way to keep to themselves. “Here, this is the pack. Harvest Moon,” River says, bringing a large book to my table. I push to my feet and carefully brush away some dust on the cover as I take in the crest. It’s a reddish rust colored moon, with three wolves howling around it. One, matches the color of the moon.

"Way less scared than before. Less alone too. It's like you're always with me now somehow." That confirmed what I was already thinking. We were connected now. Bonded together in some weird way. "Can I take another look at your marks?" She rolled up both her sleeves without asking any questions. The blue lines were definitely shaped like moon phases. New moon. Waxing crescent. Full moon. Waning crescent. All arranged in perfect circles. I rolled up my sleeves too so she could see. Luna's mouth fell open. "Yours look exactly like mine!"

My own fangs sink into his skin, and our connection bursts open — a brilliant surge that crashes through all of us. The candles flare. The air shivers. A wave of energy rolls through the room, luminous and wild. For a moment, the walls glow faintly, veins of silver light threading across them as if the pack house itself breathes with us. Each of our marks begins to shimmer — soft at first, then brighter until it becomes impossible to look away. The shapes merge into one radiant design shared by all: a crescent moon encircled by four stars, pulsing gently as if alive.

I carefully curated a palette of shimmering whites, creams, and pale grays, evoking the moon's gentle glow. “Okay,” I said, surprised by my creativity that evening. I had a flashback of my night with Xavier under the moon. “Why don't we throw in some blue?” I thought. I added a hint of iridescent blue, like the moon's subtle shimmer in the night sky. The colors seem to shift and change as the light catches them, just like the moon's phases.

I wait til I hear feel the cold air drifting into the kitchen and the soft sound of a door closing before glancing into the hallway again. Through the doors glass I could see Embers back to me. The left side of her body was eliminated white from the moon and her hair looked like silver threads as they hung down her back. Creeping towards the door she shifts and a second later a see a silvery gold wolf dashing across the snow, her body low as she ran.

"What do you want? Do you know whose lady this is? You better leave now!" "Blah, blah, blah!" Scarface said nonchalantly. "Who cares about who she belongs to. As long as I look at her face, I will let her go. But don't think you can just escape from my hand." The three dark figures next to each other laughed and agreed. One of them with a big mole on his face said. "Ronan, this other little human girl looks pretty too. She's so beautiful. You can give her to us if you don't want to."
