Romans & histoires Moon Slayer Chapter 1

My grandmother's handwriting was tight and urgent, written during one of her most intense visions. *The darkness awakens. It has slept for a century, gorged on stolen light, but now it stirs again. It will hunt the children of the moon. It will find them one by one and drain them until nothing remains but empty shells. Two wolves stand between salvation and destruction. Two Alphas, bound to the fate of the Lunar. One will fall. One will rise. And the wolf who carries moonlight in her veins will decide which fate comes to pass.* "This is about me," Sera said quietly.

Chapter 16: Rise of the Moon’s Heir Elara stood atop the cliff, wind tearing through her silver hair, eyes glowing under the blood-red moon. The battle had only just begun. From the valley below, dark silhouettes moved, rogue wolves, remnants of the Shadow Pack, led by the Seer who had survived their last encounter. Her claws glinted in the moonlight. “This ends tonight,” Elara whispered, her wolf coiling like lightning beneath her skin. She descended, each step striking fear into the hearts of the unsuspecting pack. Her aura pulsed, commanding obedience, radiating power that could rival her father’s.

Was finally beginning. As Elena stared at the crimson eyes in the darkness, they blinked once—and when they opened again, they were not two eyes but dozens, a constellation of burning crimson staring back at her from the treeline, and from their midst emerged a voice she had prayed never to hear again: "The Guardian's oath is dust, little moon. The First Blood is exposed. And the Crimson Court has come to collect." CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO THE ORDER OF THE SILVER MOON

--- Chapter Nine: The Blood Moon Rising The weight of the night was oppressive. The moon, now full and glowing red, hung low in the sky like a judgment, casting long, eerie shadows over the forest. It was a Blood Moon—a rare celestial event that Aria had only heard about in whispered legends. But she hadn’t known how much darker and more dangerous it would feel until it was right above her. She stood on the balcony of Kade’s cabin, her fingers gripping the railing, eyes fixed on the crimson moon. Something about it called to her. It felt as if it was alive, aware, watching her—waiting.

Chapter 1 The moon hung high in the ink-black sky, casting an ethereal glow over the dense forest. Lyra, her russet fur glistening under its radiance, prowled through the underbrush with restless energy. Her amber eyes darted from tree to tree, scanning the darkness for any sign of danger. She was a wild creature, untamed and unyielding, but tonight her instincts were guiding her toward something more. As she ventured deeper into the woods, a tantalizing scent filled her nostrils—a scent that stirred a primal longing within her.

Chapter 11: The Blood-Steel and the Sun The sun rose over the Silver Mountains not with a glow, but with a sharp, biting glare. Audrey woke to the sound of steel clashing against steel. For a moment, she was back in the Moon Shadow kitchens, flinching at the sound of dropped pots, but the scent of cedar and the warmth of the heavy furs reminded her where she was. She was in the Alpha’s bed. And she was no longer a servant.

**KELLY THOMPSON'S POV** The moon's corpse hung low, a bloated specter leaching color from the sky. Its craters pulsed like open wounds, and the sea beneath it had gone still, a black mirror reflecting its rot. The *Kinslayer* cut through the water, its heartstone hull groaning as if mourning the world it sailed toward. Selene's wolves clustered at the bow, their star-metal blades glinting like shards of dead constellations. Rhydian stood apart, his serpents restless beneath his skin, their scales shimmering with a light that matched the moon's sickly glow.

A hunter’s charm. I only know this thanks to Luca showing this to me in one of the library books in our prior visit. Instinct kicks in before thought does. My hand burns. Power surges up my arm, fierce and wild. I throw it out without thinking. The light shatters. Fire bursts from my palm, slamming into the hunter. They stumble back with a shout. I push to my feet, heart pounding. The air shifts again, colder this time, and water floods out from beneath me, pooling across the tiles.

“I am the boundary.” With a single cry I called the full moon. In the sky, which had been black, light split through. The lunar disc rose slowly, and as it appeared, the world—even if a dream—began to shudder. I lifted from the ground. Moonlight cloaked my body, my hair turned to shimmering radiance, my blade burned in the air. For the first time my father’s shadow-form drew back. Shock flashed across Rowan’s face; Vareth’s eyes narrowed.

“Then I guess the moon made a mistake. I never asked to be chosen anyway and now you want me to be ended? Why should I listen to what you have to say? No one gets to decide my life for me.” The creature tilted its head, as if curious. As if I was nothing more than a flaw it hadn’t expected. “I'm not supposed to be controlling the moon I guess the moon couldn't wait anymore since I couldn't be controlled anymore the best way was to bring something else to end me.” Then it attacked. The world felt it exploded. Silver light slammed into the ground where I had stood a second earlier. I dove to the side as the earth split open, a deep crack running through the clearing. Heat rushed past my face.
