Black gems encrusted the moon, making it beautiful in an eerie kind of way. “It’s so pretty,” Aisling murmured; the gems caught the light that crept through the window. As soon as I touched the moon, it was like my hands had a mind of their own. I picked up the moon and pushed it into the indention on the book. A distinct click emanated from the book. I pressed two fingers to the moon and turned it counterclockwise until the latch on the book was removable. “Brigid! Aisling!” I heard Papa calling from downstairs, but I couldn’t stop.

She nodded and turned her attention to the front and listened to what the professor discussed. “I’m going to the library. It’s boring here,” I said, and before she could confirm, I already teleported to the library. I walked toward the bookshelves and selected some books, but an old book on the far end of the shelf caught my attention. It was full of dust, so I used my powers to get rid of the dust. ‘The Moon’ is the title of the book. The title seems interesting, so I read it.

They all starting walking to the dining hall for breakfast. Sonya opened the gift from her parents while they were walking. She was surprised to find a book titled ‘Moon Goddess Legends and Lore”. It was a beautifully leather-bound book with a moon on the cover which seemed to be almost popping off of it. “Thank you. This is beautiful! I cannot wait to read this.” Sonya exclaimed, hugging each of her parents. “We knew you would like this book since you are always interested in legends. This has some really interesting ones.” Beta Reginald stated matter of factly with a smile on his face.

Clouds drifted lazily across the sky, occasionally veiling the moon's radiance until it was completely out, shining bright from the sky where it was. Nova watched as it unfolded. It was the least she could do from the cage she was in under the moon. She had seen a full moon before, but something in her told her that this one was different. Drifting from her thoughts, she recalled that it was supposed to be her birthday. It was the day she would turn Eighteen. An adult. But here she was in a cage. She had no friends to celebrate it with,but on other days,she mixed drinks and took them in the dark of her room till she was high on them.

Liam's voice is tight. Aldara doesn't answer immediately. She moves to another shelf. Pulls down a different text. Reads faster. "Aldara," Marcus says. "What did you find?" She looks up. “Here, you’re going to need this.” I took the bottle from Adam, turning it over in my hands as the sound of someone coming up to the door caused Adam and I to watch the door open. Alexander emerged, still seething, “Adam,” Alexander spoke, going to the end of the table, keeping his distance from me. “How did your daughter gain an audience with Selene?” Was Selene the voice she heard in her dream/vision? Adam looked shocked but didn’t miss a beat when he said, “She had a near-death experience. It’s been reported before that wolves on the edge of death are visited by the Goddess herself and sent back with a message.”
