He stood still scratching the back of his head, wondering where Crystal could be. He slipped into his pajamas and made His way downstairs. The faint aroma of his favourite meal filled the air. He walked to the kitchen and smiled when he saw crystal standing over the stove. “Why’d you wake up so early?” he asked, wrapping his arms around her from behind. “Good morning,” she said. "Food’s almost ready. I made your favorite breakfast, toasted bread with fried eggs. I’m packing you a lunch too.” Mervin grinned the more, he kissed her on her neck.

She started dating an assortment of men. When I was thirteen, one of my mom's male suitors became a more regular house guest, staying the night at least once or twice a week. One morning, after my mom left for work, I woke up with Anthony, my mother's boyfriend, crawling into my bed. I thought he was just drunk and told him he was in the wrong room. He assured me he was where he wanted to be. I shouted for my mom. He let me know she was gone, though. My innocence was lost that morning. After he was done, and I was destroyed, he told me he had something special that would take all the pain away.

If only I could tell her how much I love her. I hope I can see her in the morning. I continued doing my pending work till it was midnight. ◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇ I was at the dining table waiting for her in the morning. Finally, I saw her getting downstairs in a blue skirt above her knees and a hoodie on the top. Her hair was tied up in a pony tail. She nervously sat beside me and continued peeking me through her lashes. Stop Cathy, you are too cute.

I have not been holding anything down lately. I clean myself up and come back out. Nathan is waiting for me at the bathroom door with worry on his face. "It is okay sweetheart, I will be better in no time. It’s just a stomach bug" I pick him up and hug him close to me when a knock taps on the door. Mrs. Harper enters, "lunch is ready Mrs. Reece." "Thank you Mrs. Harper, and please, I have told you, call me Lydia, Mrs. Reece sounds so old."

I bit down on my lower lip, unable to believe what I was seeing. The soreness and weakness in my body kept reminding me just how over the top Dean Abernathy had been last night. However, as it turned out, it had all been for someone else. Messages kept going in the group chat. [That’s our guy, smooth as ever! My lips curved into a smile, "then I love you too." I laid my hand on his cheek and tears formed in my eyes. I could not believe that it is now finally real, that my dream has come true. "Yes, you are girlfriend singer and I won't ever ditch you." I excitedly pulled him into a hug. I rubbed his hair gently, "my Jake." It was a fluorescent cool morning the subsequent day. I was walking down the street from my house in a casual pink top, a pink sweater and in a pair of jeans heading towards a grocery store to purchase bags of flour and crates of egg.

I watch it sink in and they nod and let it go. Later that night after we spent hours making love to each before exhaustion took over. "I love you guys so much. I can't believe I tamed former manwhores and had their babies." I tell them cheekily earning a swat on my ass from Tyson "well you're stuck with us love" Toni says kissing my forehead. "I know one thing though. You are and will always be our sassy sweetheart" Tristan says as we all fall asleep from exhaustion. (A/N: thanks for reading my first book ever! Leaning in close, she whispered, "If you pay another 2,000 dollars, my best friend and I will make sure you have an unforgettable night." For some reason, the photo I'd seen on social media of her and Yvonne appeared in my mind. They were smiling happily in the picture, their tight dance outfits outlining their perfect figures. These young women were barely old enough to join the adult world, yet here they were, trapped in the muddy quicksand of adulthood. I pushed Hermione off again and asked, "Is your best friend as pretty as you?" Thinking that I was interested, Hermione gave me a flirty look and took out her phone from her pocket. "Eager, aren't you? Aren't I enough for you?"

Alsie POV- I woke up a few hours later, to a cold bed. I lay there with my eyes closed listening to the hum of my mates getting ready to start their day. We all had a long day ahead of us. I sat up and swung my legs over the side of the bed. I yawned and stretched my arms out. “Good morning, Sweetness.” “Good morning, Cupcake.” “Good morning, Love. Are you going to join us for a quick breakfast before we go about our business for the day?”

I turned to find him sleeping beside me, his peaceful expression bathed in soft light. With a gentle touch, I brushed a strand of hair from his forehead and leaned in to press a tender kiss on his cheek. His eyes fluttered open, and a warm, affectionate smile graced his lips. "Good morning, my love," I whispered, my voice carrying the sweetness of our connection. His gaze met mine, and he reached out to caress my cheek. "Good morning, Brianna," he replied, his voice filled with warmth and love. In that moment, the world outside our window faded away, and all that mattered was the bond we shared.
