Camila Collins' Point Of View The place was big, dimly lit, and totally away from the city. It was a perfect choice to execute my plan. Nothing could go wrong in that moment, nor in future events. Everything was thoroughly thought out, worked, and executed, so that nothing could hinder that move. After all, that wasn't a mere game of luck, but of strategy. Only the best and strongest players survived in the unequal jungle of that board game called real life. And I'd show that my entry in that game had only one goal: to win.

He paused to see Carlos reaction, and it wasn’t good. He exhaled softly and continued. “I never wanted to do what she requested, but I still went on to find it out for her due to my curiosity, but that almost cost my life as I was almost killed if I had not dodged a bullet, in order words, the Swifts are terrifying people, one wrong move and you could be killed.” He paused and closed his eyes momentarily. “If you knew that, why didn’t you run away with Katherine?” Carlos shouted, his blood boiled in his vein.

The tension and worry suffocated every corner of the room. Jasmine’s heartbeat quickened as Mr. Merrick pointed a gun directly at her. “Mr. Merrick, you can’t do this to my daughter!” Thomas shouted, a mix of fear and anger boiling in his chest. Mr. Merrick sneered, his aim unwavering. “Why can’t I? This is my chance. Kinsley Hawthorne will feel my pain if your daughter disappears.” He tightened his grip on the gun and continued, “You just need to choose who I should take out first—your father or the man you love.”

She was scared, and she didn't know what to do. Blair looked around to see if she would see any of her friends but she couldn’t see any, was she alone in this? Are they safe? The game was a sort of entertainment for the royals on Ashier's birthday. It was a dangerous game where archers were hired to shoot arrows at the slaves, who were forced to run across a field to reach the other end. The slaves who made it to the end were rewarded with promotion as a maid. Blair watched as the archers took their positions. Her eyes widened as she saw them drawing their bows, ready to shoot. She could feel her body shaking as the sound of the first arrow being released echoed through the air.

"Then we let her keep spending her money to create waves we will never sail in. If it's Richard, then we'll do the same. But..." "We have to prepare for if it's neither." "We do. I have seen things like this on television, you know? Crazies that construct stories of people in their heads and form these unhealthy obsessions. Then, they stalk and even kill the people they obsess over. This looks like that." Kali picked up the card and read it before saying, "I hate everything about this." "As you should. If it's someone we know, like my mom there won't be much malice past trying to get us to turn against each other. If it's a stranger, then we are going to have problems."

Since I was the only one with a vampire gene, I would instantly be the killer. "Take caution! We are close to where the few guards are. If you keep running like this, we will be noticed!" My wolf warned in fright, but the urge to get back into the packhouse was so strong, and the adrenaline rushing through my veins wouldn't allow me to slow down even a little bit. "Selene, you are endangering our....." Her voice choked in her throat as we both caught sight of the bodyguards who were guarding the emergency path. We were scared that they would sense our movement and get hold of us, but what we saw was shocking.

scent of new blood, a scent of a fresh, sickening wound, wafted out from within the cell. A high-pitched, furious yelp, the sound of a wolf in a berserker fury, tore through the air."What in the world is happening?" Paul Wason demanded, his heart pounding in his chest."He's hurting himself," Timothy whispered, his voice shaking. "He's trying to get out. The cell magic is setting him on fire. He's hurting. He's suffering."There was a hoarse, animal cry from within, the yelp of a beast in profound and horrific pain. Paul Wason's eyes connected with Gloria's, and in that silent exchange, both understood the same: the man they knew, the man they loved, was dead. And instead, there was a monster

The way his deep, baritone voice terrified every inch of my body. He didn't blink. He didn't even have to. He just stood there, staring hard at me like he was observing some fascinating specimen under a microscope. And yet again, it was exciting because of how alive he made me feel. Like the young, naive college girl I was six years ago, something I never felt with Carter or anyone else. Only this time, it was more dangerous and wild. “You wanna bet on it?” I narrowed my eyes. “Huh?” “You want me to leave you alone, right? To stay clear of anything that concerns you, to erase every memory of us like it never happened? Then you’ll have to agree to the contract, darling.”

The scent of her shampoo mixed with smoke and rain, grounding him even in chaos. Cole glanced at them both, grim. “They’re not stopping, Dante. Whoever’s after her…they want blood.” Dante’s grip tightened around Amara as he turned to Cole, voice low and deadly. “Then they’ll drown in theirs.” Amara looked between them—the man who claimed to protect her, and the one who claimed to save her. And for the first time, she didn’t know which of them was more dangerous. Her voice broke softly against the silence. “That was the night I realized Dante wasn’t my danger… he was my war.”

However, the little that I had noticed had to be of some use. Mason…. He was the most dangerous of all; he didn't take anything seriously, everything was a game to him, no matter how twisted and bloody it could get. Plus, he was extremely intelligent; that ability to manipulate and decipher people could be even more dangerous than any physical ability. Logan….
