Literature is no doubt my most favorite subject. The class was interesting and insightful as always, it was a book review. The book we read was the secret history by Donna Tartt and a collection of poems by Hayao Miyazaki The interactive class was super fun and interesting. During the course of it, Eva stood up and asked one of the major questions on my mind, which was why the books we read in literature class are mostly ones written by oldies and not youngsters.

I didn't like Bleak House that much, not to say that I love everything I've read from him, but, on the other hand, probably The Old Curiosity Shop is the book I've read the most times in my life."

"You’re not done. Now sort the books by how interesting the titles sound." I spun around. "You’re kidding, right?" He gave a smug grin. "Call it a test of your intellectual instincts." Rolling my eyes so hard it nearly caused whiplash, I started pulling books off the shelf and organized them into very important categories: "Billionaire Brainwashing" (titles like How to Win at Negotiations, Stock Market Secrets—snoozefest.) "Mildly Interesting" (like The Psychology of Power—kind of creepy, but curious.)

While I am waiting, I pick up the book by his bedside and read the title, ‘Six of Crows’, I turn it around to read the blurb, it was about six thieves trying to pull off an impossible heist to save their country. The book seemed like a very interesting read, maybe after Blake was done with the book, I could read after him. In the meantime, I bring out my phone and I open the app I have for books. I go the book I am currently reading, it is murder mystery/ thriller, titled ‘As good as dead’ and it is very interesting and intriguing.

He asks with something in his voice I can't quite identify. "You don't know." I say with a slight chuckle in my voice. "Just pick one." I watch idle as he sifts through all the books until he picks one. House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas. "That is one of my favourite books. Although I might just be biased because I love her writing." I lean back in the chair with a satisfied look on my face. "What makes you love someone's writing?" He sits back in his chair and looks at me curiously.

I need to take time. I remember the small room I entered last time. I slowly opened the door and turned on the lampshade. The books on the table were still scattered. I tried to look and read each one of them. These are all interesting books. Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and a lot more. I tried to find something that might help me, but I found nothing.

I beamed, thrilled to be discussing something I was pretty familiar with another person. "Your all-time favourite?" "Ugh, I don't have favourites. I could narrow them down to the three I enjoyed the most. That's if it's okay with you." "More than ok" "I think they would be... Icebreaker, Do over, and It ends with us." "I know all three books. You have a nice taste for good books!" "Thank you," I said, trying my best to be very modest. "What is your most memorable project?" "Project?"

Everywhere something is interesting to lay your eyes on. “Well good. I knew you would be taking a lot of books, it was only fair that you have the highest choice.” he says and I quickly turn around to see him leaning against a pillar checking me out. So while he stands behind me watching me, which both intimidates and excites me, I take each book out, one by one, pulling them from the bookcase, some wonderful editions of Jane Austen, Dickens, Ovid, Homer, Kundera and then 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' and, finally, Lolita.
