I can hear Hunter grumble, ‘Useless Human’ under his breath as he makes quick work of joining Salara who is already deep into battle. Launching through the air, we tackle a wolf that was about to pounce on Salara’s back while she was unaware. Hunter makes quick work of the wolf, going straight for the throat and snapping its neck with no remorse. The wolf shifts back into it’s human form, causing us to pause when we are left staring at the lifeless body of Josiah, one of our missing pack mates.

Blood trailed down my temple and before I could turn, Maverick was down the truck, grabbing an iron pole as he attacked the Moon Hunter who also defended. Despite the pain threatening to rip me apart, I alighted from the truck, weak and giddy. I watched as they clashed, engaging in a brutal fight. My vision blurred, my body getting weak. Marks. Chains. I scanned the trees in front of us and my eyes fell into the grass with rash movements, just near a chir pine tree. “Quinn, East!” I shouted as I felt something from the east running in our direction. Quinn nodded and immediately positioned her bow to release the arrow with poison. With a bolt, Quinn calmly let go of the arrow when a big brown werewolf appeared. This is our first time to see a brown-haired werewolf, most of the hunts we’ve been to have black or grey fur. “Brown?” Rendall asked as we saw the arrow hit its leg and growl in pain.

Hunter tells me and then I feel him go away to the furthest part of our link, probably to try to reach Moon. - Hunter POV. My human and I have finally managed to calm down since our mate was taken from us. It helped a little saving her and get her home, but we were still worried and angry about everything they had done to her. When she finally woke up we started to relax more. I know Moon isn’t back yet but I can feel her. I decided to try to help her and pull at our bond while her human is sleeping. I tell my human this sad it seems to make him happy and I tell him I will try hell her and end the link and get back to work. I pull and pull until I can hear a faint whisper.
