Set Fire and Burn

Set Fire and Burn

I asked. “I don’t have a number off the top of my head, but if you’ve heard a tale of a creature, then chances are that it is an immortal species. Such as Bigfoot, the Mothman, and Werewolves. Shifters of all kinds also exist. Not all of them live in this world either, but that’s a discussion for another time. With this being such a large city, it’s hard telling what variety of species are here at any given time,” he finished before tossing back his drink. “Why don’t you ever talk about your mother?” I asked, thinking about how much I missed mine.

Tortured Soul

Tortured Soul

I asked. "I've heard the old people here speak of a demon baby which had last been brought to the earth five decades ago and grew up among humans. Draining them of every energy." She explained. "There is no such thing Peggy. Stop believing everything they say. It's not true." I opposed. "Then let me take my bath for St to be on the safe side. They had said that two people had sex without bathing on Halloween night and the woman only gave birth on the next hallo..." She said.

Ex-wife, Fated Mate!

Ex-wife, Fated Mate!

You could say that there are no ghosts in the world, and I could agree with you, but some people said that there are no werewolves in the world and we know for sure that they are, so… never say never. “I hate this place,” Sam said and looked around. “So many stories , horror stories that I get goosebumps just thinkin' about it.” “ I chose this place exactly for that. Because we all hate this place and it is the last place where Manganiello would think that we will come.”

Rejected: Mated To The Young Human Luna

Rejected: Mated To The Young Human Luna

"It's not a wild animal. It goes above and beyond that. Whatever you want to call them—shapeshifters, werewolves, etc.—the paw you saw belonged to one of them." "What? Shapeshifter? Werewolf?" The man nodded. "They are fables. How is it possible that they are present?" "Because they are. I've heard of fables before, and this one isn't one of them. I once heard a scream while working late one night. I thought it was a call for help. Only to get there and see a man. I immediately noticed this enormous animal when I heard bones breaking. That also explains why this street is silent. Look, since a werewolf attacked this town, I haven't worked a day. After each murder, people started to leave."

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

Anne wished they hadn’t spoken to that batty old man, listening to his riddles and dead-end tales. The later discovery of alternate tales, crude folklore and legends betrayed by a handful of the old or wandering mad reinforced Damon’s suspicions of an ancient grave site, though there was no recorded information of its existence until Damon’s final research paper. There Damon recounted it by name, “The Mourner’s Cradle.”

The Hunter and the Vampire

The Hunter and the Vampire

They’d made the decision firm when they were in Jodhpur, searching for a vetal that would take over corpses and haunt the souls of the living, begging to pass on from this world to the next. I’d been fairly nonplussed when they’d told me that – the stories about Paris sounded much more pleasant – but I supposed it wasn’t as bad as their travels through the Philippines, tracking a particularly nasty manananggal who was leaving a trail of injured pregnant women behind, who would later give birth to children with grossly deformed faces. They’d told me in gruesome detail about how they’d found the detached bottom half of her body, and how it had dissolved when they’d covered it in salt and garli

Ruthless Fate ( Alpha' s Queen #1)

Ruthless Fate ( Alpha' s Queen #1)

I asked frowning, I have never heard about this. Ray laughed, “ It was in the bedtime stories, my mother and granny used to recite them to us to make us scared of going out in the middle of the night. you know how pups are! As soon as they start shifting that’s what they all want to do for a long time. The male pups even go out at night to run through the woods. So to keep me and my brothers safe, my mother and granny told us this myth. How at night a creature who is not man nor beast roams the landing of woods and if pups go there, he will eat them.”

Leah also gave a look of disapproval. "Callie, I agree with them. I just wasted my time." I got up when I remembered that I was on my way to the garden. "What? Those stories are pretty lame, to begin with." "Not when nana tells them." The kids retorted. Nana arrived soon to tell a different version of the first werewolf that happened in Egypt where people considered shapeshifting a gift and not a curse. I grew up listening to nana's stories, about demon kings and dragon queens and all things fantasy. My all-time favorite was the story of my mother, except for the part where she dies.

"Once upon a time..." gave me the feels! You know, I often get bored when the starting line of a book isn't catchy or enough to fix my eyes on the next words but this one got me. Narration is great because it made me imagine every scene. Best of luck, author! ♥

Another good chapter. I have to say that you have definitely upped your game with this book. I am no doubt a fan of your other story but this one hooks me in right from the start. The chemistry between the characters is amazing,,would like to read more soon, cheers!❣️

A Bear's Mirrored Romance

A Bear's Mirrored Romance

“Well, they appear in fits and starts. I’d say when the portal randomly opened and something came through it. But you can’t exactly expect the locals and law enforcement of the time to believe some monsters from another world were having lunch on a few stray humans and animals. There’re reports of cougars and coyotes receiving the same treatment as the human victims.” “Humans are probably the preferred food, but anything would do at the time. I wonder if there’s anything in that journal that can tell us how they dealt with the Fear Mongers and things. I’ll go get it, it’s in my room.” “Great, more things to look at. You really need to help with some of this research. I know you hate anything

Well, he found the tape with the wolfman. Pullman listened to the young man explain his troubles with changes he experienced. Of course, Dr. Freyman chalked it up to the young man going through puberty. The young man was sure it was more than just puberty. He was hungry all the time. The moon made him feel uneasy. The conversation went on and on until the tape ended with the young man feeling reassured that hunger and the moon weren’t out to get him. There was no such thing as werewolves. He listened to another tape.
