ACE. My Little Bird has remained silent during the drive home. "My voice doesn't sound that," I said rolling my eyes taking the book he left on the desk. "But it does," Lucas said again trying to make his voice sound tiny as he slung the bag straps over his shoulder. "Camilla!" A deep voice called me from behind as I turned around curiously to see who it was.

I swore beneath the glassy surface, I could feel the churning and clashing of two bulls, both determined to destroy the other. “Little wolf, little wolf, little wolf.” A sing-song voice filled the air, cold and full of razor-sharp amusement. The bodiless voice sounded like a dentist's drill, making my ears and teeth ache. It was the scuttling sound spiders made as they scrambled up your skin. “Little clueless wolf, playing with things she knows nothing of.” “Choose wisely, child.” Another voice filled the air, this one warm and kind. “If you choose wrong, I will be unable to help you.”

' A familiar feeling of mockery overshadows me, without a doubt whoever it was that got into my dream probably has a child's mentality. Who's he calling little? Just so he knows, am a woman. "Don't call me little." I yell at him, but he errupts into laughter the next second. What's so funny, I didn't crack a joke. "My, my, what a nasty attitude." Same old attitude. You haven't changed one bit, what a child you are." Suddenly the room shines bright, and am all alone in here, so where the hell is this voice coming

Everyone in the establishment suddenly looked at Milla. One waitress even dropped her tray. The whole place was silent when Milla finished singing, maybe also shocked by the strange singing voice of the child who sounds like a young woman. Milla giggled. Her laughter sounded so precious as well. "My aunt said I have a beautiful voice and I would win a Grammy someday." Laura watch Milla carefully. I dial the number, simultaneously clicking on my emails. “Lorcan Adamson.” The voice that answers is so deep and gravelly, I drop my mouse in surprise. Surely that’s not a real voice. It sounds made up. “Hello?” he says again, and I stifle a giggle. This guy has a film-trailer voice. It’s that deep-down rumbly, subwoofer voice you hear as you’re scarfing down popcorn, waiting for your movie to begin. We thought the world was safe. We thought the universe was ours. Till THEY came.

Madeline nearly broke into tears when she saw her father, she was glad that her father was alive and well. Byron turned did he just hear Madeline's voice, he knew his daughter's voice anywhere.
