Ace was a little confused as to why this woman was sitting in the empty chair in front of him. Ace glanced up, his curiosity piqued by the unexpected intrusion. His gaze narrowed as he observed the woman, his expression guarded as he reached for the folder. Who is this woman? How did she receive this? Flipping it open, his eyes widened in recognition as he scanned the contents within—George's name emblazoned across the top in bold letters. As he dove deeper into the dossier, his lips curled into a sinister smile, a predatory gleam flickering in his eyes. The woman watched him closely, her own expression inscrutable as she awaited his reaction.

I want to be ready. I can feel the stares from a few neighbors, the same ones who sit out on their balconies chain-smoking. But I ignore them. My knee bounces anxiously. I was too hungry to savour the taste, so I just scoffed it down but it was delicious, and by the time I was done, the world was a much happier and brighter place. It was when I was leaving, sipping my coke that I noticed the shiny black Mercedes Benz sitting infront of the bookstore, and of course I only saw it now that my stomach was no longer at war with me.
