Standing in the freezing rain for several minutes, I took steady breaths to calm my racing heart before pushing my battered body forward. Forcing my distracted mind back to the mission at hand, I focused on finding Silas before Magnus executed my grandmother. Elaine spoke the words down into the glass; the magic seemed to hear her, and as she gave a tug, the lid lifted. The book beneath the glass peered through Elaine. The volumes’ binding was smooth leather, and the stitching was gold. Long, smooth letters were intricately painted across the front, and her hand brushed them softly. It was the most precious book in the world. Reaching down, she pulled it out and flipped to the page she desired. There it was in thick black letters, the word luck. I am running out of time, and I know it. Suddenly, I see a glimmer of light up ahead, the end of the alleyway, a chance to escape… my home. I sprint towards it, with Magnus mere feet behind. I burst out into the bright lights of the street, gasping for air, and rushed into my gate, securing it with the key. The gate doesn't stop Magnus; it is as though he is determined to kill me tonight. The full moon cast an eerie glow as he hurtled towards me. His eyes burn with a feral intensity as he grasps the iron gate, flying across it, his massive body soaring through the air.

My inner soul was shouting in pain seeing her so foreign to me . I locked her door and she immediately started banging it . " open it ...Magnus open it " she said desperately but I didn't listen to her as this was necessary. I won't let her go away from me. **** Hey guys ...how was the update ...we are not very far from the end but still not that close . Magnus is behaving like a beast . Definitely . No one deserve to be caged but he is compelled by his heart . Let's see what the next chapter hold for us .

Seeing me closer, Magnus finally flinched, his eyes wide with panic as he realized that his death was just seconds from reaching him. Alpha's fear quickened my heart rate, washing a wave of thrill. I challenged him. “Run!” And then, Magnus made the most idiotic decision of his life: he ran! He bolted, claws tearing up the ground, exciting me to break his every bone after a delicious chase. I threw my head back and howled, the sound ripping the sky apart. “You are so dead, Magnus.” In the same motion, I lunged. My leap carried me over the wolves, their snapping jaws missing my legs by inches. I barely touched the ground before pushing off again, and this time, landing exactly where I wanted.
