Chapter 52: Interruptions As I stood at the entrance of the aisle, my heart fluttered with nervous anticipation. My mother, her arm linked with mine, guided me forward, her reassuring presence grounding me amidst the whirlwind of emotions. You may now kiss the bride.” I pull her close, raise my hand to the back of her neck and kiss her deeply. Everyone erupts into applause and cheers. I force myself to pull away far enough to where our foreheads are touching. “I love you Mrs. Brooks,” I say with a smile. “I love you too Mr. Brooks.”

He apologizes to Josh. "No problem, man," Josh stands to hug him in a brotherly way. "May the wedding begin," Bruna says and we all stand and follow the bride and groom outside. I looked at my husband, Jace Augustus. He gave me a polite nod, and I replied happily, "I do." The priest smiled as the crowd and well-wishers clapped for us. Then the priest looked at Jace and asked him the same question, "Do you, Jace Augustus, take Celine Mason as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day onward, for better or worse, richer or poorer, until death do you part?"
