My Mysterious Mate

My Mysterious Mate

It was satisfying to know that we had taken down both. My thoughts were interrupted by the ding of another text message. I quickly pulled out my phone to see another update from the investigators. "Hi ma'am. We’ve found it. Solid proof of Ross’s betrayal. Stacks of documents, encrypted communiques, even a private journal detailing his illicit dealings with the Moon Pack. All hidden away in a concealed compartment in his study. It’s a treasure trove of information, ma'am. I’m on my way back to base. He’s in deep, and the rest of the pack will finally see him for the treacherous snake he is."

Murder Inquiry

Bob said, chuckling. “Oh I don’t think that’s worse than investigating multiple murders, in which the only clue is the loans that they all the victims owe a certain bank”. “Yeah speaking of which, Danny I’m calling to tell you that you would have to open another case file, a fifth one” Bob said. Danny winced at the thought of having yet another victim of the mysterious killer. “Who’s the latest victim?” he asked “Owen Mclean an English businessman who deals mainly in real estate, I’d have my secretary send an email of the victim’s details to you, for profiling” Bob said.

I couldn’t help saying. “It was nothing more than a parlor trick, my beauty,” he murmured as he moved closer to Nora and me. Pointing behind me, he said, “The prison is that way.” Nora squinted her eyes and looked long and hard in that direction as if she was studying it before asking, “Are you sure?” Directing his hand toward my right, he added, “Marduke is that way. He is in the company of a very familiar energy. If I did nay know better, I would say that it was Lance Northrup.”

Briar Reef Murder Mystery

Ó Detective Sparks was barely listening while her body hummed with renewed excitement at the words embossed on the little card in her hand. Don Wilson, Attorney at Law. She hid her feelings well as she thanked Amber for her help and made a hasty exit. Though it was late in the evening, she took a chance and drove by the address listed on the card that happened to be a mere few streets away from the club.

He stated, his voice professional and detached. “Weapons, burner phones, ammunition.” My jaw tightened. Nathaniel muttered something under his breath. Then the detective squinted… hesitating. The hesitation bothered me more than everything else. Because it meant the next part was probably worse. Much worse. “There was one more thing.” The detective removed a photograph and placed it face up on the table. I looked down, then froze. The person in the photograph wasn’t Claire or me. It wasn’t even Nathaniel. It was Margot Sinclair.

Katie Tutor
Author I'm really enjoying your story. I apologize for my bluntness with the reader who uses letters instead of actual words but I'm 'old school' where you say it up front and don't beat around the bush. I believe not using words but a bunch of nonsensical letters is rude and insulting !

Unclaimed After Nine Years

Unclaimed After Nine Years

“Who are you talking to? That cousin again, or someone I don’t know?” I had just finished confirming my flight. I locked the screen. “I was reading the news.” His face darkened even more. He snatched the phone from my hand and demanded the passcode. “Our anniversary,” I said. Nine years together. Six simple digits. He entered them once. Then again. Then a third time. The phone stayed locked in his hand. By the time we returned to Blackthorn House, neither of us had spoken another word. The car had barely stopped before he helped Lyra upstairs, one arm wrapped around her waist as if she might break.

The Mysterious Lake

And acted like he got relieved from getting exposed. Hotel Medfly: Dr Jackson entered the hotel and walked to the reception point. “Hello, Dr.”, said the receptionist and asked That if she might help him. “Yeah, I have a reservation”, Dr. Jackson told her. Hearing that from him, she checked in the computer and gave him a key card and wished, “Have a good day, sir”. Dr Jackson went to his room and ordered coffee. Then, he phoned Dr. Sheen. “Hello, Dr. Sheen”. “Hello, Dr. Jackson. I was expecting this phone tomorrow. Anyway, are you here?”, Dr. Sheen asked his friend Dr. Jackson. 99th Betrayal: I Abandon My Crown

99th Betrayal: I Abandon My Crown

I suddenly thought of the overwhelming array of jewelry on Elara's vanity, a wry smile crossing my face. I knew I was completely expendable to this family from the very beginning. I realized then that it was time to leave; there was no place for me here. I packed up my clothes and departure documents. I then looked at the notebook that recorded 99 instances of grievances and the Lunara Pendant Mother had given me. I eventually chose to leave both behind in a corner of my bedroom. I had recorded every overlooked slight in this notebook ever since I was young. I still harbored the foolish hope that if I were just perfectly well-behaved back then, they would recognize my worth and spare me a fr

The coroner held the notebook up to the bright light, studying every word. After a long pause, he lifted his head, wearing a grim expression that weighed heavily in the room. "In the next life, I don't want to be Mom's daughter anymore." Mom froze, as if turned to stone. "The words in the victim's palm match this last statement. You can see what that 'don't' really meant now," the coroner said sharply. I hovered nearby and let out a quiet sigh.
