I took a break from this book for months because it was mentally putting me in a bad place and I haven't updated this book in a week because again, it was starting to affect me. I got over what happened a long time ago, but rereading my diary from the year all this happened and writing a book about it has brought up old memories that I had blocked out. So, please, be patient. I want this story over with asap so there is only a few chapters left but please be patient while you wait for them. --Stay safe everyone, I love you <3

"Good. So, what would it look like to give that to yourself? To treat yourself with the same care and attention you wish from him?" "I don’t know," I said quietly. "I wouldn’t even know where to start." Dr. Brooks gave me a warm, patient smile, then reached down and pulled something out of his bag. He placed it gently on my lap—a slim, brown journal. "What’s this?" I asked, running my fingers over the soft leather. "A small assignment," he said. "I’d like you to write in it once a day. Just one thing you did that made you feel good, safe, or loved."

Back home, if I was lucky, two days of meals combined would not match what I had in a single sitting here. And that was on a good week. My stomach does not complain. It has learned patience. It knows how to wait. It knows how to quiet itself and accept what it gets. I sit cross legged on the bed with the journal they handed out on the first day. The cover is smooth and thick, the pages creamy and untouched. No real instructions came with it. Just a suggestion to write. Reflect. Process. I flip it open and stare at the blank page. Instead of writing, I start doodling in the margins.

I took a pic of me eating and posted with the hashtag #latenightsnack I washed the leftover dishes and went upstairs to freshen up and get ready for bed When I came out of the bathroom the first thing I noticed was the brown paper packed with books and that old journal slipping out of my bag I crawled over to the middle of my bed to check it out. I opened the bag completely and brought out all the books, I picked up the journal and it actually looked really old, especially the leather on it, then I remembered Mr Jonathan's word's '...That book will test you...' I took a deep breath and opened the book. The pages were.... Blank?? I flipped through the book and it was the same I actually didn'
