I don’t know what it was but the feel was making me blush. I cleared my throat and said “I have no crush on him.” Okay I lied to my best friend as firstly I wanted to make sure what exactly I was feeling about him. Anna put her hand on her chest saying “Then what? You love him? If it’s the thing, then I won’t get a mini heart attack. I will literally die in shock.” She laughed. “Come on!” I hit her arm. While we were laughing, I got the call from Noah. My face lit up looking at his name on the screen.

“Yeah. You were.” I nodded. “I’m working on it.” “Good,” he said. “Because if you’re going to be weird, at least be honest about why.” I stared at the floor. “I don’t like that she has a crush on you,” I admitted quietly. Ryder blinked. “Wait what?” I winced. “That wasn’t supposed to come out like that.” He stared at me for a second, then laughed. “Hold on. Imani has a crush on me?”

He asked and I nodded my head while my stomach fluttered. “That’s a good girl.” He pressed a small kiss at the curve of my shoulder and I suppressed a shiver.

I still have shits to settle with her, and she better avoid me anywhere she sees me if she doesn't want me to remove her incisors. "Congratulations," He said to me, and I nodded my head. "Uhm... Sir, can I buy you coffee when you are free? Just see it as a way of me saying thank you for this opportunity," I knew it was really crazy to say that to him, but there was nothing wrong with asking my crush out on a date, right? "Sure, why not?" He shrugged, and I sighed in relief as I smiled at her. Here I was, thinking he was not going to give me a chance, but I was mistaken. He was just humble and everything I wanted in a man.

I felt so embarrassed. “Me too.” I saw a small smile as he cleared his voice. “What are you sorry about, I was the one –” “No. You were my crush too.” He said and then casually sipped his whiskey as if he hadn’t just dropped a bomb on me. “What?” I shook my head. “No way.” He nodded, glanced at me and then continued scanning the room again. “Yup. At least for a while.” I laughed, throwing my head back. “You never did.”

I was unable to meet his eyes so I stared straight at my drink. “So, answer my question then.” He continued, voice grating on boredom once again. I swallowed emptily before slowly nodding my head. “Uh, yeah, it’s just a regular c- crush, like a serious o- one.” I ended up muttering in response. A small string of silence stretched out between us before he let out a low scoff, causing my gaze to dart towards him. “So, you wanna get into my bed, that’s it, right?” He continued, with his hands folded around his middle.

She said and he nodded, getting up to his feet. He turned to me and gave me a polite nod, "It was nice meeting you," He said and a big smile spread over my lips at how adorable he is, "It was even more nice meeting you, Chris," I said, lifting my fist up, he did the same and bumped his fist with mine, a hint of a smile passing over his lips and I threw him a wink before he walked away.

He look into my eyes. "D-did.. d-did you just kiss me?" I nod. Then he suddenly starts squealing like a girl who just got kissed by her crush. Okay, I think it applies to him too. I watch in amusement as he starts murmuring words to himself in excitement. He turns back to me,"Is that a yes?" I nod. But he shakes his head and I frown. "I don't believe you, say it" "Yes" "Louder" "Yes!!"

Then took another step closer, “Nor do I have a fiancé or wife.” I scoffed and rolled my eyes, “Sure.” Not buying his act one minute. “That’s was they all say.” He watched me in observance and then his eyes lit up. He let out a chuckle, “I get it now.” He nodded as if something made sense. His eyebrows wiggled, “You got a crush on me huh?” He spoke like it was a fact. I looked at him with disbelief. “What made you think in any part of that conversation, that I have a crush on you?” My eyes still wide, “I barely know you!”

He says, furrowing his brows at me. I nod, heart still racing.
