But he didn't. He just let out a long breath and said, "That man is completely useless. I saw it from the beginning. I'm glad you finally left him, Elara. Whatever it took to get you there." Another pause. "Be careful. Alpha males can be quite unpredictable when backed into a corner." My chest loosened just slightly. "I will." "I love you. You know that." "I know, Dad. I love you too." He hung up and I held the phone against my thigh for a moment, staring at the floor.

"No" "Don't worry dear about this boy love because he will settle down next year" My dad said and I laughed

I said quickly before he could say anything. The words came out confidently. “You’ll go?” Steve asked, raising an eyebrow. “And you are?” He asked curiously. Duncan exhaled slowly. “She’s Alyssa, my personal assistant.” “She’s Alpha Alaric’s daughter.” He added. Of course, he had to spell it out that he was friends with my father. I pulled away from Rosie and stepped closer to the woman. “The Alpha? Alpha Marlowe?” I asked. I silently prayed it would not be true. I hoped my father would not do something so cruel. But her words shattered the last piece of hope I had left.
