HER REVENGE
His eyes narrowed, the faint glow of the screen painting shadows across his cheekbones.
“Give me her number.”
I rattled it off so quickly I almost stumbled over the digits. He entered them without hesitation, some encrypted program opening. His jaw flexed once before he exhaled.
“She has a locator turned on,” he said.
Hope flared in my chest, too bright, too fragile. “Can you get to it?”
He glanced at me, something close to offense flickering in his expression. “Of course.”
The map blinked, loading, then a dot appeared. Not moving. Stationary.
