Hopeless Warriors
I looked over to see Lissa, purposefully turning her gaze away to hide her face.
"Liss," I questioned, trying to get her to look back but she continued her sheepish behavior. I summoned up my best attempt at jumping into her mind. I was still rusty. Sometimes it happened without me even trying, and other times I couldn't access it at all. Especially when she was fighting me on it. This time, when I finally managed to get in, her thoughts were far-off and unclear, but I could hear her voice faintly repeating in the background: Empty thoughts, empty thoughts. Don't let her hear. My mind is blank. No thoughts.
