“Yeah?” “Yeah.” I looked at her, the frosting on her nose, the softness in her voice. And for the first time in a long time, I believed someone. I don’t know what comes next. I don’t have a big plan. But I have a small home. A real friend. And enough cash to start over—on my own terms. No games. No bosses. No triangle. Just me. Finally.

I’d saved for weeks from my part-time jobs to buy it from a friend who once shared this same tiny room with me. It wasn’t perfect, but it made me look like someone who finally had a future. “Time to go to work,” I muttered to myself, smiling faintly as I glanced around my room. Calling it a room felt generous. It was barely large enough to fit a bed. it is just a mirror, and a small box where I kept my few clothes. A plastic chair sat in the corner beside two chipped plates and two spoons. The walls were cracked, the paint fading, but it was still home — my own place, my own little world.

Frustrated I thanked her once more and went back to my car. Once in the security of my own car I opened the envelope and pulled out a map, another note, and a small box. The box was small. It was bigger than a ring box but smaller than one for a bracelet or necklace. I carefully took off the ribbon before removing the lid. It took everything in my power to not drop it or scream. Inside was a small finger one that undoubtedly belonged to a child between the ages of eight and ten!

I scream while holding tightly to Star. "Come on home! Are you weak?" I hear Airel say teasingly. I pout as I slightly open my eyes, fine! I will demonstrate to them that I'm not weak! I took deep breaths as I finally open my eyes and steadied myself. "Wow..." the only thing I expressed the moment I witness the incredible view. "This is so incredible! This world is so gorgeous!" I laugh as I can't stop myself from smiling. "See I told you! I mean we told you you're going to like here!"

it was beautiful and peaceful settling myself down i started playing my guitar and started singing along . . do you wanna give up just cuz it's hard? nothing is free in this damn freaking world. either you eat or get eaten so get a grip and stand back up what you think is E,N,D is actually A,N,D . . writing songs is one of my hobby. it helps me pour out my thoughts and feelings which calms me suddenly i heard a twitch as if someone had stepped on dry brach i quickly sat up as i didn't want to meet anyone

My world was very small, just enough to hold the warmth of the everyday moments before me. My world was also big, big enough that no storm in this life could reach me. The past was truly behind me. And my future was in my own hands, steady and bright.

I was going to be my own person again. Even if it meant walking this dangerous tightrope between freedom and his possessiveness. A week later, I took my first real step back into the world of business. It wasn’t glamorous. There were no big announcements or celebrations. Just me, sitting at the small desk in the corner of Cassey’s guest room with my old, slightly slow laptop, stacks of notebooks, and determination burning in my chest. I was doing this completely on my own.

I said, enunciating each word, "because you mistake trash for treasure." Wendy's face froze. I continued, "Wendy, you've always wondered how a 'poor researcher' like me could afford a standalone villa in Starlit Bay for our wedding home, haven't you?" I turned my head toward the now-pale, trembling Shawn. "Go." My voice wasn't loud, but carried an unmistakable command. "Turn on the largest LED display in your showroom. Connect it to my phone." Overwhelmed by my aura, he obeyed almost instinctively despite his confusion.

I was about to introduce myself again but decided against it since they were once again busy in there own world. A world without me. A world where I was nothing but just a mere human doll
