I’m about to use Emerald’s eyes again when a vision overwhelms me. ** I see Alpha Everly’s eyes glow menacingly. They are now a glowing iridescent white, incredibly spooky. Light swirls around her as she brings vines up from the ground. There are creatures with red eyes surrounding her, pressed to kill. The creatures are pitch black, twisted and evil. While they fear her light, they are charged with one motivation: snuff out the light. She can’t do this alone. She needs help. I see a pair of hazel eyes before me. They close with finality. I see the same vision, but with a pair of bright blue eyes. There is a feeling of sorrow that washes over me.

Her lips were swollen downward, and I guess mine were going to be similar. We didn’t say a word to each other. We stared at each other in the silence. It was comforting. Without uttering a word, we both started laughing. I wondered why Malcolm had suddenly referred to her as ours. It wasn’t that I was against the idea, but the last thing I would do was force someone into my life. I furrowed my brows. “Did it work?” She remained silent, not uttering a word. Her fists were clenched. Her body shook lightly as if she were in some sort of trance. When she opened her eyes, they were shades of purple. It was the brightest purple eyes I had even seen.

She almost shouted in disbelief, weirdly staring at me as we'd both climbed inside the car. "Yeah, it seems that his eyes kinda change colors sometimes like they turn golden and start glowing and other times they just turn completely black. Does that make any sense?" I made a weirded-out grimace as I looked at her. "They what?!?" "Yeah, totally fucked-up, I know," I lightly shook my head. "No, that's not fucked-up. That's fucking insane like, batshit crazy dude! What do you mean his eyes are fucking glowing, what is he, a damn firefly or something?" She continued to vent as she stared back at me in utter disbelief.

I breathe deeply, filling my lungs with this intoxicating mixture, and feel something inside me uncoil in response. My heterochromatic eyes adjust differently to the darkness—my brown eye seeing the physical world of trees and earth, my amber eye perceiving the magical currents that flow through everything here. It creates a disorienting double vision, a world layered upon itself. Through my amber eye, I see the ward's energy as a distant shimmer, like heat rising from summer pavement, creating a dome over the entire Hidden Bowl.

“Kept what hidden? I saw him lose both eyes! Both!” Cullen, who was still leaning weakly against the pillows, frowned hard. “Selena’s right. I saw the wound. There were no eyes left to keep.” The spy shook his head slightly. “He grew another one. Not a real eye. A magical one. A stored one. Something he kept for emergencies.” I gasped. “How does someone keep spare eyes? Like… like spare shoes?” Ava pinched the bridge of her nose. “Can we not compare eyeballs to shoes?”

Joe and Vargos edged forward carefully, as if approaching a wild animal. I tried to step forward, and they all jerked back. "What abnormality is this?" Vargos muttered. "Aeryna has forsaken you, child," Joe whispered. Panic flooded me. What was wrong? Why were they looking at me like that? I turned and caught sight of myself in a puddle. My blood ran cold. I was huge, towering over even Vargos's six-foot frame. But that's not what startled me. On my forehead, a third eye sat. Its socket was black as void, and the iris glowed molten gold, while my main eyes burned red.

Lord Gilbert explained, "The Dios eyes are said to be most invincible eyes in the entire world, they can see through any deception or illusion magic. It is said that when Dios eyes really awaken, they give off a glow of heavenly gold, as if they were made from ceramic rich gold itself. Have your eyes ever glowed golden?" "What! Wait wait wait, I think you guys have mistaken me for someone else. FYI my eyes are the most mundane eyes you will ever come across. They are so ordinary that people even dismiss me sometimes as a being without eyes." I knew I was blabbering nonsense, but you can't blame me, I was pretty freaked out here. I didn't want to be some superhuman with magical all-seeing eye

I decided to close up the last file in my hands and let it drop onto the wood finished table. As I looked at my bathroom mirror puffy red eyes looked back at me, I splashed cold water onto my face to help with the puffiness then let my robe drop to the floor as I stepped into the warm abyss of water, I couldn’t help as the dreadful question resurfaced, “What if one or both of the men had been badly injured or worse?” a vision of the suite had flashed before my eyes, I wouldn’t call myself a pessimist but even without the lab reports there were no doubts in my mind that the blood in the suite belonged to the Hudson men.

Michael said looking at Gage. “What did he look like?” Gage asked. “I don’t know, he had a hood on, and he wouldn’t remove it, he had dark red eyes.” She said shaking her head. “He scared me, he told me they were going to use a ritual to summon me and sacrifice me.” She said with tears rolling down her face. “Please Jade I don’t want to be here anymore, can't we go home?”

Strange enough, the temperature around them also started to fall sharply and all the hairs on the back of their neck started to stand on their end. The three rotten and hag-like figures materialized out of thin air standing side by side with each other. The one in the middle was holding a huge eyeball the size of a palm. Its color appeared to be black, so dark that it was as if capable of trapping one soul if one would attempt to stare into its depth. [I am convinced that is the Magnus Eye.]
