Dr Emma explained again. "Apart from being burned, what caused them to die?" Mike asked Emma. "There was no residue of flammable material on the victims. It is strange. Let me show you!" Dr Emma showed a photo and pointed at one of the points. "This is a puncture mark. All three individuals were stabbed and burned from the inside. Only special chemicals like strong acids can burn everything. But the problem is that there is no trace at all. CASSANDRA'S POV I sent for a physician close by. He checked her pulse and I walked behind the girl out of curiosity and noticed a burn on her neck. I furrowed my brows trying to understand how she'd gotten it. From what I remembered, her last torture, none of us touched the nape of her neck. I examined the burn with my hand. I just knew it was no ordinary burn from the way it looked. Could it be that these mysterious creatures were actually involved in these as well? I clutched my pocket, where the necklace was.
