" " P-pero..." pagsusumamo ni Estella sa binata. " Lilituhin ko sila upang mabigyan ka ng oras na makatakas dito. Diretsuhin mo lang ang kakahuyan at igigiya ka nito sa pangpang kung nasaan naghihintay ang isang bangka. Gamitin mo iyon upang makatawid sa kabilang isla." Niyakap niya ang binata ng mahigpit  bago tuluyang tumakbo papunta sa madilim na kakahuyan. Tanging ang liwanag ng buwan ang nagpapaninag sa kanyang dinaraanan. Hindi siya tumigil kahit na narinig niya ang napagsigaw ni Lucas sa di kalayuan.
