Novel & Cerita Myth Stories

“Listen to me carefully. The Great Dream is the creator of The Myth; he then divided his power and merged with nature after the process of The Myth was completed. At that time, a golden seed leaded the Myth. The golden seed is a direct descendant of the Great Dream and only appears once every five hundred years.”

In the evenings, around the hearths of home, we teach the rules by which we share this world with the brethren through story. Tales of lovers separated by misfortune, the vain punished with disfigurement, of knights enchanted into forever sleep, and of princesses locked into towers. We seek out Seers to foretell the future, and mages to bespell swords, but are wary of the Fae with their costly altruism and deceptive beauty, the mischief of household imps, and sirens who sing ship to wreckage.

Through story, we teach the rules by which we share this world with the brethren. Around the dying coals of the evening fire, we spin tales of naughty children stolen never to return, of the brutal punishment of liars, and of trespassing travellers going astray. Tales teach us to seek out good-witches to tend to sore teeth or to help with difficult births, and diviners to foretell the weather, but to fear sorcerers or sorceresses who prey upon the unwary, sprites who blight the crops, and mermaids who drown sailors.

Marcia said, picking out pieces of fruit from the bowl close to her. “Well no one alive” Ley added, “Many stories that are deemed myth are purely so because none were left alive to continue the tale and document it.” “Yeah ok, maybe, I’ll leave the researching about those things for the librarians, I have my own research to do” Marcia replied, waving her hand dismissively. “The only thing you research are your loud canaries” Ley retorted with a booming laugh. “You son of a…” she began to snarl back when a noise from the doorway cut her off.

She spoke to him in his language, “They’re treating you like god.” Just as expected. Frankly, Zayn felt rather helpless about it. He suddenly remembered that all sorts of myths were passed down for millennia on earth. He wondered if this was how the myths came to be? When someone showed up with extraordinary abilities and was worshipped as god by the people around him, stories of this event were passed down until it became a myth with passing time. Zayn shook his head as he thought about the situation. He was planning on saying something, but he gave up on the idea after pondering for a moment.

And Kilano replied 'my love, it would be an honor to have you by my side'. I close my eyes, letting the flames die as I hug my knees to my chest. "Do you think it's true?" "What?" I ask, my voice muffled by my arm. "The stories of the gods, do you think they're true?" "Yes," I reply. "Really?" I shrug a little to myself. "Kilano's daughter would have been my great great grandmother so the stories may have been changed a little but it would be difficult to create a completely new myth with so few of generations," I sigh.

“When one has determination to do something, the odds always end up in their favour.” The older looked at the other before him before letting out a bitter and guttural laugh at what he thought is a joke coming from the latter. Perhaps the person in front of him does not know what kind of person he is intending to find. People speak of legends and myths like they were just stories worthy to pass off to others that some ended up looking for proof on the make-believe the world had conjured up to invoke the right of humanity to carve the very first story and not some god or goddess of far away imagination.

He has a wife for crying out loud. "So let's continue from where we stop." Grace said when she saw the handsome newcomer wasn't staring at her. "What's a Myth?" "A traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events." One of the students answered. "That's very nice definition of Myth John." Grace said smiling at John. "So who can explain more of Myth functions?"

"I've spent a lot on you, girl. This is a golden opportunity. If you ruin this set up, I'm sorry to say this, but I'm giving up on you as well. But, that would be after you pay me back for all I invested on you. Your clothes, hairdos, adornments… .." She spoke on and on, while Emma was already shivering in fear. Her mind drifted to her family. They were still owning some people, who claimed her father borrowed money from them before he died. She was still struggling with paying the so-called debt and couldn't bear to add another one to it. Patting her shivering shoulders slightly, "you can do it, Emma. It will change your family's situation as well….." She added those soft persuasions, after

Fred said. Seth’s mouth dropped open as he heard Fred say all these things.” Goddess of death? That’s just a myth, no one ever encountered her, we were told stories about her when we were little and the story tellers clearly told us that she was a myth, coupled with other personalities.” Seth said.
