This is a bad omen, what did you do?” She asked and Valerie could hear the fear in her voice which only made her fear too.

Mom took a deep breath, her gaze turning distant, as if the memories were playing out before her eyes. The Story of the Priestesses “When the world was young and men had just begun ruling over the land, the Moon Goddess, Selene, and Zeus fell in love. Together, they had eight children: Narcissus, Pandia, Ersa, Horae, Musaeus, Eiar, Theros, Phthinoporon, and Kheimon—the Goddess of Winter.

He gave me a soft smile, making me return a shy smile. “You know, in Greek mythology, Althaia was the Queen of Calydon, and a woman of fierce passion. She is celebrated in an ancient story about the fate of her son, Meleager. When he was born, the Moirai, or the Fates in English, came to foretell his future, and they predicted he would die as soon as one of the sticks in the fireplace burned out completely. When Althaia heard that, she pulled the stick from the fire, put the fire out, and hid it in a safe place.”

John asked as he stood up from where he’d been writing something on the floor, with chalk. “Rare, but then again rarer still are the demons and gods”, she muttered, “The common supreme beings happen to be chimeras, Kitsune, Hydras, Medusa, Kraken, a lot of nymphs and sirens, a lot of Greek mythologies if I had to be pedantic. Oh! Your homeroom teacher Mr. Edwards is a Leviathan, and his wife is a siren I think, we’ve had the first werewolf too; The Beast of Gévaudan and Fenrirs too, a Minotaur and Basilisks. "Tis a tale, is it not?" he casually spoke with a shrug and I shook my head. "There is truth in myths, Abigor. You of all people should know that," he was a man of intelligence, no doubt a man that should be aware of truths in all matters myth or folklore, "and what you have described...only one mythical creature is capable of sucking the blood out of its victims..." Master Abigor looked down at me, his eyes emotionless yet eager. The left corner of his lips slightly raised as he gave me a slow blink, "and which mythical

“Oh, wow. I’m okay being me without turning into a dog in a full moon. Can I do magic tricks like you did?” Kailin had that funny look again, trying to hold her laugh. “What?” “You’re more than just a werewolf,” Grandpa said. “So I can fly then?” “Your grandmother Ophelia and your mother could see a person’s future.” I chuckled at the same time, in awe. “So they were like prophets?” “They came from the long line of Sybil, from Ancient Greek.” “Wasn’t Apollo, the god of archery, music, and dance, a seer of Zeus? So this mythology was actually not a myth.”

The figure was tall and imposing, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. “Who are you?” Kai demanded, his eyes narrowing as he faced the new threat. The figure stepped forward, its voice a cold whisper. “I am the harbinger of the God Giant Statue of Destroyers. Your battle with Fen is meaningless. The true threat is yet to come.” Kai’s heart pounded in his chest. The prophecy was coming true. The God Giant Statue of Destroyers was a mythical being of immense power, capable of laying waste to entire worlds. If this harbinger was any indication, their battle was far from over.

Their features were too flawless to be human. They had elements no person could possess. Were werewolves once gods? Cast from the heavens by some older deity? “That’s Zeus,” a hand pointed toward the larger figure, startling me half to death. I spun around and came face-to-face with a tall, breathtaking woman.

Emotions had run wild between now and then; excitement, disbelief, discontent, rage, and now a thoughtful silence pervading the four walls like a thick blanket that lulls her back to the bay of sleep’s arms. Avian dips the feathered tip into the glass bottle and carefully lowers it onto the page where she had left, just beneath the grotesque sketch of an original Lycanthrope she had attempted whilst still in the throes of energy. “… Average of ten feet tall, five hundred pounds of muscle and fur that is impervious to the war instruments of man.” The high priest stands at the front left, his cheeks like emptied udders that tremble with each breath, “tapetum lucidum…” highly sensitised night v
