We both broke into chuckle and he said shaking his head. "You are hilarious! My chemistry topper girlfriend." He continued to laugh and I smiled. "My pleasure!" I said and with that we dig in our food. Ah this burger is so fucking delicious! Nora eat slowly or else he will think of you as hungry pig!

Shyly, Noah averted his gaze from Diego, hiding his amusement. “Come on man, give me a bigger smile”, Diego said with a hearty chuckle. Noah's smile was a slim forced line, unsatisfactory to Diego. “Is that the smile you give when a bowl of deep-fried chicken is right in front of you?” Diego asked, a comical expression on his face. Freya chuckled shortly at Diego's subtle joke, hoping to infect Noah with her amusement. Noah couldn't withhold his smiles any longer, they came bursting out on his face.

JUNO'S point of view "Why was the ketchup red?" I laughed out loud 'cause I already know the joke but I kept going and pretended I didn't know it. I leaned back on my chair while clutching my stomach. Jace has been telling corny jokes the whole time we're in the restaurant and he's totally unstoppable! "Okay, why?" I answered, nearly tearing up. "Because he saw the salad dressing," I chorused with him and he glared before I burst out laughing once again.

I still felt the room’s silence creep under my skin. They waited for an answer and I needed to give them one now! A nervous chuckle left my lips as I thought of a reply worthy enough to take me out of this mess. “Nico is a very social person as we all know...I mean, who doesn’t like him?” I forced a smile. “I know I don’t,” An unfamiliar voice came from the circle. The room burst into laughter at the honest joke that aimed to ease the rising tension.

I blurted out, my voice a mix of curiosity and disbelief. Nathan’s reaction was instant as he threw his head back and laughed, the sound echoing through the grand penthouse. It wasn’t a mocking laugh, but one of genuine amusement, like I had just told the most outrageous joke. "You think I'm a mafia boss?" he said between chuckles, shaking his head as if the idea was preposterous. His laughter slowly died down, and he met my gaze, still smirking. "No, I'm not in the mafia."

My smile widened as I mindlessly took off my jacket setting it down on the leather seat. I clung to Dalton chatting with him as Enzo thought it was the time for the like of the day as he called it. It was one of those stupid habits that we had going on as kids and it kinda stuck with us and Enzo was the one with the shittiest and corniest jokes. I braced myself to hear one of his dad jokes, Dalton was holding in his laugh at the eager look on his brother's face already. "What do you call a joke without a punchline?"

But what really filled my plate the most was the adobo that Zach cooked. He just laughed and transferred the food. He also took two glasses of wine and gave one to me. We started eating and Ycson became the joker and clown while we ate. He tells a lot of stories and tells us jokes. And they are just laughing. I couldn't stop laughing because of him. I don't laugh because of his jokes if not because of his looks. "What do you call fake spaghetti?" Ycson asked everyone. "What?" "Spake?" Sol answered. Everyone looked at her and wondered what the spake was. "What? SPAGHETTI and faKE.... Spake!"

’ ‘Sparkling water would be fine, thank you,’ Lochlan replied. She came in and set a glass of water in front of him, a juice for me, and a plate of heavily cheesed nachos. ‘Try these,’ she said, thrusting the plate towards Lochlan. ‘I used Colby Jack. It’s the king of melting cheeses.’ ‘Boss doesn’t eat cheese,’ I said quickly. Portia’s eyebrows shot up. ‘Lactose intolerant?’ ‘No, it’s just… not part of his approved nutritional intake,’ I explained, trying to head off the inevitable sarcastic commentary on his ascetic lifestyle.

I raised an eyebrow, "Butter who?" "It's butter if you don't know," he said cracking up laughing half way and I stepped aside to let him in, he bent down kissing my cheek which felt strange "I have a pizza joke too but it's not that funny. Ooh what smells nice? I have pizza, monopoly, and shit six dollar wine I picked up from ALDI, if we get poisoned, call triple zero, so have that on speed dial"

Damn, those nachos smelt good. I placed her plate on the coffee table in front of her. Then I grabbed a nacho, dipped it into the chili topping, and shoved it into my mouth. She gasped as I backed toward the cart and got my steak. It was decorated with fries and salad, but hell, I shoulda gone for what she did. Elena grabbed a cheese-coated nacho from the side and dived it into the center of her plate. With a huge mound of ground beef on the chip, she forced it into her mouth quite spectacularly. Holy fuck, this girl can open her mouth wide.
