“They’re so small.”
I try to ignore the way she takes my name like it's her birthright. And fuck me dead if its not. I cross my arms, watching her instead. “They’re fish, Rosalina.”
She pouts, turning back to the tank, watching the tiny silver bodies flicker under the light. “They shouldn’t be locked up,” she murmurs, almost to herself. Then, as if a thought suddenly strikes her, she gasps, spinning toward the owner, her hands clasped together like a prayer. “Can we let them go?”
