My name is Emma and I'm what they call a nerd. Not only that I have multiple nicknames like fathead, uglyface, the list is endless. Summer is finally over meaning it's back to school well for me more like I'm going to hell, you see I've always been bullied. It started of being an emotional thing but then they started bullying me physically, shoved me against the lockers, some girls actually slap me but I don't do anything I just walk away.

The chains fell away, clattering against the stone floor like thunder in the silent tomb. In that exact moment, a weak, wet groan echoed from the shadows near the door. Nadia was stirring. We both froze—the man and the boy staring at the dark shape on the floor as her fingers began to twitch against the stone. Beside me, Nate’s small frame was vibrating so hard I could feel the tremors through the floor. We watched the dark heap of her body. Her fingers twitched, clawing at the stone, and the silver-bullet wounds in her back began to hiss as her rogue healing factor fought against the metal.

The wolves understood perfectly well why he was in such a state and did not dare stand in the Alpha’s way. Max was already waiting in the dungeon, having thoroughly worked over both men. Kirill shot his brother a questioning glance. “Will they be able to talk?” “They’re in this condition because they refuse to,” Max replied calmly. The man in chains suddenly burst into hysterical laughter. “And this is your gratitude, Alpha?”

Nick's inflated hero demeanor fizzled as he pressed the release button. "Go forth mighty warrior and save your mate," he exclaimed and I opened my door laughing. Looking around everyone had gone to their vehicles and raced off so I waltzed up to the barn door and frowned at the metal chain with a heavy lock attached. Lifting it with my good hand I cursed and released it causing a heavy thud. "Nick, I need a wrench or an ax and your muscles!" Driving up next to me the weirdo was grinning like an idiot with his arm hanging out.

She let both padlock chains go flying for him, to her surprise he evades them with the slightest gestures.

He no longer allows the maids to take his bath for him so he couldn’t tell. As Alarick got to the door and reach for the doorknob, a realization struck him and he came to a halt. “Thank Goodness,” he murmured. Alarick quickly turned back and he rushed to the floor where the chain he used to bound himself during the midnight takeover was. He heaved out a sigh of relief as he took the chain from the floor and secretly packed it away, making sure that no one would suspect what had happened during the night. He didn’t know who was at the door and it was relief that he remembered the chain, else he would have been caught and his weakness would have been known.
