"We can wrap ourselves in a tube of smoke as we make our way down the steps. We need to move fast and hope that it pushes the hatchlings away from our path." Kiran stared wide-eyed at Noorh. "You can do that?!" she gasped. "I haven't done it before," Noorh admitted. "But if I combine a few spells and change them a little, it might work. We just need something flammable that can produce lots of smoke when burned." "Will clothes do?" Kiran asked. Noorh stared at her like she grew another head. "Undressing me isn't enough for you?!" he hissed.

What were the odds of that happening? If I had just stayed back and let Blaze go off on his own, would we still be mated? “It’s not the cigarette that I fear that will be the end of me, darling.” I lift my hand, sucking on the tip and taking another long drag from the brown filter. Then, Like a fierce dragon. I blow a cloud of smoke out of my nostrils. Like I've just left a path of destruction in my wake. She waves her hand in front of her face, trying to disperse the cloud of smoke that lingers between us as she coughs.

Natasha heard Lucas's tense voice as he shouted at Henry. "You need to drive off the smoke! Use your speed to create a funnel that should suck out the smoke!" "What " Viper called but the device broke off probably due to interference of signal by the smoke. She gently set the man down and began to quickly think how she was going to do that until it her. Viper groaned a little, feeling the pain shoot up her lungs as she forced the smoke out of her lungs and stand erect before spreading out her hands horizontally as she began to spin on the spot, shuffling her feet at very tight angles.

King Astius was flabbergasted. "Behind you!" Sithah screamed when a living dead was about to attack King Astius from behind. And so, they failed to inform the others about the guardian. They were stuck in the middle of the battlefield again, fighting against the living and dead enemies. Purple Smoke was doing a test on her newly acquired power by absorbing the soul of the living people in the battlefield, may it be her own soldiers or the enemies. She then released a black smoke and spread across the battlefield. Every living thing that it reached became a pale corpse.

The murderous aura coated with red smoke steadily engulfed the entire room, burying Naomi and Shadow within. “Circle smoke!” Naomi growled and grew her own claws, emitting her own aura. Circle smoke was the murderous aura emitted by the multiple vampires to confuse and distort the prey’s senses into submission. The strength of the smoke was depending on the breed of the vampires or the number of the vampires that released the exact smoke. The idea behind it was to isolate the two of them and attack them separately. The concept behind it was cool enough to give the applause. But… KLANG! KLANGKLANG!

Nathan shakes his head at me before pulling my body around so that I am no longer straddling him but instead, sitting on his legs directly. “Here. Hit this. It’ll calm you down.” He says, wrapping his arm around my shoulder as he hands me the backwood sitting in the ashtray. I take his offer before bringing the leaf up to my lips and taking a large drag. As I inhale the thick smoke I immediately break into a series of coughing fits as the smoke burns my lungs. "Woah, are you good." Nate’s friend Derrick asks as he chuckles at my current state "Yeah" I manage to get out in between coughs.

But also wondered about that damn smoke I saw coming out of the floor at the house. I knew I wasn't imagining it. I saw the smoke go into him, and I knew that there must have been a reason for that. But I didn't know enough about any of this to know what the smoke was. Which left me at a loose end where I couldn't wrap my head around what it meant. Or what it could do. I chewed at my nail, going over what little I did know. Lowell used crystals to keep Lobo locked in that spot. And the smoke came up from the floor, so the only thing that made sense to me was the smoke must have come from hell. But then, Lobo was half demon, which led me back to being confused.

With my shaking hand, I managed to unlock the door and we both walked in. He looks around. "Nice place you've got, no stupid roommate of yours" My heart is beating fast, I'm going to die. "You know, I find it hot that you tried to rub. You don't look it but you have fire in you. I like that". I don't say anything. "Oh sorry I was being rude. I'm Smoke. Apologies for the other night, I was tempted. May I know your name?" Should I tell him my real name? Is he testing me to see if I would lie? I mean he found me all the way here so he definitely knows my name

"I need you to say them with me." "Say what." "Whatever rises. Trust it the way I am trusting it." He nodded, and together we spoke the three words into the dark, voices overlapping, and the moment the last word left our mouths, black smoke tore free from Kieran's chest with a violence that nearly knocked him backward. The sound it made was not human. A scream, thin and furious, ripped from smoke that had clung to him for longer than either of us wanted to remember, spiraling upward in a thick coil that twisted against the purple sky like something fighting for its life.

I removed my mask briefly, testing the air. The smoke was thick enough that even I was beginning to feel slightly affected. Time to step outside.
