After, Mariko introduced him to the different kinds of daggers, including the shuriken and boomerang. She even teaches him how to use them.

Nico ran to one goon and very skillfully extricated the man’s gun from its holster. He dropped to the floor, turned around, and rolled over. He loaded the gun and started firing on Don Leo’s men one by one, not giving them a chance to draw out their guns and open fire at him. It happened only seconds ago. Then, the men dropped to the floor, one after the other, while Nico continued to roll. He stood and blew the gun's nozzle before risking a glance on Don Leo’s way.
