“I think I’ll sit this one out.” I frown and lean forward slightly. “Come on man. Don’t be such a buzz kill.” I snort, shaking my head. “You sound so much like McCoy now.” Back in our crew, we were the hotshots, the ones everyone wanted to get to know. And there were those who were our polar opposites. McCoy was one of them. He used to be an absolute pain in my ass, constantly telling me I needed to work hard and prove myself as a Naval officer and how we needed to stop drinking and clubbing if we wanted to live long. Then there were his bad jokes. Terrible actually. Jokes that should never see the light of day but he made a habit of telling them. That kind of bullshit.

I snorted before I coughed up some more smoke. "I wish you would." John laughed. "Lord, John, you shouldn't say shit like that." "Why not? You can't knock it until you try it." John winked at me and started to burst out laughing; he was dim. What would Pepper think if she heard her son talk like this? He better be glad it was just me that heard him. Not everyone would be as understanding when it came to nelly jokes. "Stop bumping your gums." I shook my head at him with a smile.

If he answers he shoots things for fun on the weekend, he'll ruin my fantasies. Crispin laughs, not at all put off by my ongoing questions. "Former SEAL, not just any military." I just manage to hold back the eye roll. "Of course." I've heard it all from my brother. I've never met a more muscled group of men so hung up on titles in my entire life. It's like they all joined cliques in high school and needed to run around bashing each other to see who was the best. As long as they're not in the Air Force they all seem to be the same. Those poor Air Force boys can't catch a break. Ninety percent of the jokes are about the air boys.

So as I walk up at him while he is telling some blonde joke, he immediately rises and addresses me. "Lieutenant, Sir. Please excuse my silliness; I thought the boys could do with some smiles on their faces." "Lewis, I think they are laughing because it is such a bad joke, and they merely want to be polite." "Sir, I don't know if you have heard Clark's jokes; I must honestly say my lame ass one beats him by far." "You are such a dumb ass. Now walk with me; there is something I want to talk to you about."

Jung Woo is seen laughing when he considers Commander Yeongjo's efforts to cover up the identities of his soldiers have been exposed. “Even the dumbest warrior couldn't have devised such a stupid strategy to trick his enemy. Ha ha ha! Are you guys that desperate?” Moon Seon also laughed in response to Jung Woo's words. "Yes. Right. The dumbest warrior couldn't have come up with such a stupid strategy. Unfortunately, you're not dealing with stupid soldiers! If you guys want to prove my warrior's prowess, I can give you at least thirty seconds from now!” Commander Yeongjo answered Jung Woo and Moon Seon's jokes quite calmly.

Reaching forward I set the bottle of beer down on the pine table and open up the group chat. Me: Guys I need some help. Lex: What’s news? You always need help, Man. Not surprised being that ugly. Me: Fuck you shitface. Roger: What’s up big daddy, spill. Dean: Don’t tell us you got some girl pregnant and now she wants to have a ring on her finger (laughing emojis follow). Me: Fuck you lot, I’m being serious. Something happened back home and I need to talk to you all. Do you think you could act like grown ups for once in your life. God knows how you manage to be Navy Seals. You’re all a bunch of fuck ups.

“Maybe he thought you would find him again, to properly thank him for taking care of your tab. You said he seemed friendly with the hot bartender.” Navy rolled her eyes, grimacing at the resulting headache. She would have to remind herself not to move her eyes for the rest of the day. “He thought I would repay him? Ew… That’s just gross.” She took a gulp of coffee, finished it, and placed her empty mug in the sink. “And please, don’t remind me about that whole kissing-a-stranger thing,” Navy pleaded, glancing at the time. “No more truth or dare… And, to make this morning even better, we’re going to be late for class. The shower is mine for the next ten minutes…”

The room went dead quiet when I said I would take the prize, but that quiet did not last. A second later, laughter thundered through the air. Lily Smith was the loudest, doubling over with tears streaming from her eyes. "How else could she be the top seller?" she cackled. "A woman like her has to have skin as thick as a rhino." I ignored her snide comments and kept my cool. "Just to be clear," I said, "since the company so generously 'rewarded' me with bathroom duty, that's all I'll be doing for the next three days. Everything else is off my plate."

Father goes and his servant Johan seems to step up. “His lordship has admitted inexperience,” Johan adds, be it more collected. “You did not finish schooling, if I am correct?” “That is-” Mykhol slightly shifts his lips as if trying to render the next word. But it never forms as someone explodes into laughter from the side. It’s Admiral Nugen, of all people. He is laughing so much that his face is pink. “The military academy?” He holds his sides still laughing. “Ah, this is too rich” Tears are in his eyes. And He continues to laugh so hard it shakes his whole body.
