Nadia said calmly as she smiled at her cousin. As she watched her retract her hand looking at her with wild eyes, Nadi’a’s ming evoked an image from the past. One with Kate smiling at her as she reached out taking her hand. Pulling her out of that room to play in the sunlight. For the longest time, she was her closest friend and her only family.

But the two seemed like they didn’t hear what she just said. “Who are you?” The two asked in unison. Leila’s forehead creased – as she felt the sudden tension dripping in the air. She couldn’t even understand why. However, what she knew that she had to do was to lighten their mood. “Well, Duncan, this is Hunter… Uh, my… my neighbor. H-Hunter, this is Duncan, my childhood friend.” Leila introduced the two – still curious the rising stiffness between them. However, it seemed like the tension between them escalated.

"Where's the rest of my stuff?" "Oh!" Catherine exclaimed. "I almost forgot to introduce you guys to my youngest son, Dalton! Come out here! I want you to meet our new neighbors!" A scrawny looking kid around my age came running out of the house, heading to where we are and then, he stood next to his mom. Catherine beamed. "This is my son, Dalton," then she glanced at her son, "Dalton, meet our next door neighbors - Meredith and her daughters, Caroline and Charlotte."

Nero let out a low chuckle. “I know my limits. You forget, I like my women in one piece. Does she have a sister or friends?” he asked. “She’s got a little sister, she's seven. Her best friend is married to Zane. And I doubt he would tolerate scarecrows hovering around his wife.”I replied, taking a slow sip of my whiskey. “The little sister’s the same age as my niece. She’d love a new BFF,” Nero mused, exhaling smoke from his cigarette. “And what makes you think I’m a scarecrow?”He asks.

And I was glad I was able to stop them from changing the pillowcase, as I wanted his scent to stay in my bed until it faded. I was still lost in my own thoughts and had no idea how long I had been staring outside when a knock came to my door. “Come in…” I slid my body from the wide window sill and sat on the sofa below it at the exact moment my door opened and revealed Nadine. Nadine was almost the same age as Jace. She was technically our aunt, as she was Grandpa Theodore’s daughter, but since we grew up together and were around the same age, we considered ourselves cousins.

Aunt Nadia smiled as she glanced at her daughter, crossing her arms and has her eyes, glaring at the table in front. "I didn't even do anything wrong, why should you apologize?" she asked herself but because all of them have their eyes on her, they heard what she said. "Naiah, mind your manners" Aunt Nadia suddenly became serious. Little Naiah just shook her head as she rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry for that" Aunt Nadia to turn to Reddina, who has a gentle smile on her lips. "It's okay Nadia. She's like my daughter, Red" Reddina said and glanced at little Naiah.

Jordan I can't believe Nova lived this long just waving at her neighbor and never even exchanged names. "We inviting her for Thanksgiving and that is it" I told her firmly and watched her grumble. No she doesn't hate her neighbor but she thinks it is better the way they are. No unecesary drama but I think that excuse is lame. She sluggishly got up but eventually went to invite her neighbor whose name we don't know. "The most shocking discovery ever, she is Karen Myers, legal wife of your brother Jayden" Nova said as she walked in, following behind is the said woman looking as innocent as ever.
