Oblivious, Wendy smiled and introduced herself properly. Neil kept up small talk while swiftly recruiting another unattached player, forming a trio—less suspicious if spotted. His recruit, Jasto, quarterbacked a bottom-tier Western Conference team. His sole attendance left him drifting all evening, barely noticeable. "Glad I’m not invisible," Jasto drawled, one hand pocketed, the other clinking his glass against Neil’s. Neil frowned. "Why the gloom?" "Red-eye flight. Just landed this afternoon. How peppy should I be? Want a demonstration pass?" Jasto shot him a glare.

He offered. Nodding my head, I gave him a confirmation. The bartender served my glass. “My father wants to make peace,” Anthony blurted out. “Fucking bastard,” my shoulders jerked as I chuckle hard into my fist. This was the funniest joke of the century. My laughter faded into a scowl. “Why now?” “Because the game doesn't taste sweet anymore.” “Interesting. So the old man of yours wants to make peace after piercing so many bullets into me?”

Aiden The subdued light of the living room did not hide Neal's triumphant smile, he again won against Custer and now he was persuading the other guys to participate. Neil had no equal in gambling, so I never played against him. Choosing the right opponent is already half the battle. I shook my head negatively at the next proposal to make him a game of shtoss.

“Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.” There was a round of Oh's and ahs from the group at the window. I heard my phone buzz on the table with a notification. I closed my laptop down and grabbed my things. A lot of the office stayed at the window watching as I exited. I must admit they were correct; he looked exceptional. He was wearing dark jeans, a crisp white T-shirt and a black leather jacket. He was leaning against the bonnet of a car I didn’t recognise.

The kind that dulls the sharp edges of my agitation. Theo sits up from the weight bench after doing another round of reps on the bench press, lifting the hem of his t-shirt and yanking it off overhead. He balls it up in his hands and swipes some sweat off of his forehead with it, swiveling to face me on the opposite bench while he catches his breath. Jax was spotting for Theo, but he decides to take a break too, coming up between the two benches and resting an arm on the bar of each one. I watch as his gaze slides over to Theo and he sees something that has his mouth falling open, a laugh escaping.

"I want to be admitted and if you don't pay for it, I'll sue you." Neil was speechless. "You're impossible." "Ow, it hurts so much… Ouch… Just taking a leaf out of your book, man. Ow…." Unable to come up with a retort, Neil simply stormed off. He just did not expect that Stan would follow him. Just as he got in his apartment, Stan started to cry out in pain and complained, "Everyone! Come, see! Neil Turner ran me down in his car but ran away! He stays on the eighth floor, and I heard his father used to be the director of some research center."

I groan internally. My name is Mariah Cruz. I'm 17 years old and starting my junior year today. My Father, Mark Cruz, is the current Beta of our pack, The Royal Moon Pack, and my mother, Jennifer Diaz, is the Beta female. My Brother Josh Cruz is 18 years old and a senior in High School. The man first staggered into the rest room and had a leak after which he started to come out.
