Hannah

Hannah

I know she is probably just passing through, but I am not about to let her leave now that I have her. A realization hits me, and I feel like a total idiot. Here I am having a full conversation about marking her and I don’t even know her name. “What’s your name?” I ask her. “Oh, awkward” She sings as she pulls away from me. Her cheeks blushing. “No, I didn’t mean anything by it. I just realize I didn’t know it” I tell her grabbing her tiny waist pulling her back close to me. “Hannah”, she says cocking her head to the side, and wrapping her arms around my shoulders. “Hannah,” I say pulling my hand from behind her back to shake her hand, “I’m Gabriel, but you can call me Babe, I mean Gabe”. "What? recovered already? You really are a tough guy, Hanako remarked. "I can't believe that it took you this long to realise what stuff I am made of." I grinned. Hanako blushed, "Sh-shut up!". "Subaru Big Bro, shall I tell you a secret?" "Go ahead, Maki," I said. "If Hanako-nee likes a person, she turns red like a tomato!" "Really?" I flashed a smirk. "Shut up, Maki! Don't go telling that to someone you've just met!"

I avoided his eyes and just nodded. "One.. two... three!" I did different poses and finally, after one thousand hours! "I missed you, anak ko." his eyes teared up upon saying it. 'Anak ko' is a Tagalog word meaning 'my daughter". "C'mon, stop this drama dad. I missed you too!" I went to him and hugged him for a while. "Don't get your hopes high, I'm just joining an event but I'm not an official student yet!" I said. "Yet? So does that mean-"

Iniko: A New Beginning

Iniko: A New Beginning

I say as I race to catch up to Brooke. “Bye, Mom! We’ll be back soon!” Cyrene says. “Don’t go too far, Iniko. You’re getting close to your first shift,” she calls out. “We’re just going to the mountain,” I call back. “Go, Kiko, go!” Cyrene says, encouraging me to catch up to Brooke. I love that Cyrene is nine years old and still calls me Kiko. She’s the only one who does. It’s just like she still calls Cal Calgon. No one cares to correct her because she’s Cyrene.

PRETEND PRINCESS

PRETEND PRINCESS

"We heard you were working your first day today!" "We're all big fans of your Estagram!" "That coat is beautiful. Like, seriously beautiful." "Hello, Yuki!" There was Jim—tall, quiet, with round glasses and a shy smile. Kyo, whose hair was slicked back and who had the cocky confidence of someone who probably fronted a band on weekends. Hana, sweet and soft-spoken, who offered me matcha candy from a ceramic tin frog. And then there was Queen—or as her name tag proudly declared, Kween.

This book is really interesting and I'm waiting for more updates. Yuyu really is a walking colour disaster sometimes but I love it. Both Creed and Yuyu should sort out their messy relationship before getting together. I can already sense the tension though. Good job author and success to this book

ANNA

ANNA

″I'm surviving with these idiots,″ he said referring to Anas and Haniya who immediately started making monkey noises. This made both Ahmed and Anna laugh. Anna just loved her friends. They could change her mood at any time. Anas was the total idiot, Ahmed was the cool and collected one while Haniya was a hybrid of the both of them. Anas was like a brother to her, Ahmed, more like a crush and Haniya was the sister that she never had. They talked for about an hour until her friends started yawning. She bid them a good night and went downstairs for dinner.

Luna Channing

Luna Channing

I looked at the Alpha and frowned. "So which name are we supposed to call you, Alpha?" I asked, crossing my arms. "Layton. Arachne is the only one who can call me Henry." I nodded with a frown when he said Arachne. The womans name was Emiko, unless she also went by Arachne. "So are you attending the festival, Gamma Channing?" "I am the Moon Oracle, and I hate that festival." I growled at him as I stepped back. "I must be going."

“One more word from you and this Uri (local pencil) would be the last thing you remember when I have your head hanging on the crimson pole.” Tears were already dripping as Nnenna held her cheeks. She muttered something under her breath but did not make any reasonable sound. Adaku was tired of Nnenna’s foolishness. She had taught the girl how to hold the pencil so that it wouldn't hurt. But every time, Nnenna would push the pencil with so much pressure that it often sent a stinging sensation through Adaku’s skin. “Are you stupid?” “I am so sorry, my princess. It won’t happen again.”
