Never Saw Me Coming Novels & Stories

I walk storm towards the door before pushing it open. I tilt my head a little, uncertain if I had been hearing things or someone was playing really costly jokes with me. My eyes fall to the ground and I can see a little piece of paper which I am certain wasn't there just minutes ago when I walked into the room. Curious, knowing it was aces there on purpose,I straightened it staring Intently at the words written on it. "We are coming" it states.Nothing more, no emphasis no explanation, no codes, no hints, no idea

"Come for a ride." ***

Sophie POV Today is my first day on my new school. I feel so lucky and confused at the same time. Lucky because, the owner of the University, personally called me and offered me a scholarship. And that is also the reason on why I am confused, because I haven’t passed my application letter or my documents in this University. How come she knew me and personally contacted me to offer me a scholarship to their University?

She sat down across from me on a Tuesday. I hadn't seen her come in. That was the first thing I noticed afterward — that she'd moved through a busy coffee shop without triggering the low-grade awareness I'd been running since Knox arrived, the way you learn to notice things when your nervous system has decided that unexpected visitors are a category of event worth tracking.

“I’ve been here loads of times.” I blinked, then immediately felt offended. “Well, I’ve lived here.” That seemed to make him pause. For the first time, he actually studied me, like he was trying to solve a puzzle. “I’ve never seen you before.” The words made my stomach twist. Right. Because nobody was supposed to. How had I forgotten such an important detail? I lowered my voice immediately. “You’re not supposed to.” His brows rose. “What?” I stepped closer. “Don’t tell anyone you saw me.”

Suddenly, in a flash, I saw a face that I will never forget in my life and now he is here for me. “NOOOOOOO!!!!”

We’ll find a way. I’m so busy convincing myself of this as I step off the curb that I don’t hear the car coming straight for me. Not just coming. Speeding up. It hits me, and I hit the ground, and everything goes dark.

The plane was on the way, ready to land in Preuton. It was a seaside city I'd always longed for but never been to. It was a place with no Monica, no Gurney, and no suffocating gossips. Through the wide cabin window, the plane sliced through the clouds, and suddenly, I remembered that night from six years ago. Monica stood downstairs at my apartment, soaked to the bone in the torrential rain as she confessed to me.

"Why are you so late like this?" That voice, I know this voice. I immediately raised my face, and as soon as I realized who was in front of me. I quickly rolled my eyes, unable to speak from the shock. "K-Key?" I said in a nervous tone. I'm sure this girl will definitely spray me with words again. “I heard from Joshua that you will visit this place when you have a big problem. So, I had to wait for you this late!”

My legs were doing the most of the work as they coordinated with my brain because only they knew the directions. I was keeping eyes on the walls and the faces of the people who kept staring me like I was some abomination and I looked at them as if I had seen aliens. I’m sure humans would look at aliens the way I looked at them. In all this, I forgot to look straight forward and managed to bump into someone before pulling back and mumbling a quick ‘sorry’ before a fist could swing at me. Blind or not, I was the same. "Noah..." the guy called me in a very low tone but I recognized the voice and it made my head snap up to look at his face so fast.
