Never Saw Me Coming Novels & Stories

She was fully aware of what the lethal bloodsuckers had in store and she was probably returning to patch up her life. "Uhmmm…. I'm….. I'm sorry!!" She stuttered as she shifted away from my body. "I…..I didn't see you coming." She mumbled as she raised her head to look at me. Our eyes jammed again in its glorious patterns and I had to stay calm. "It's totally fine. I…..I was uhmm, actually coming to see you." I stuttered. "See me??" She sounded shocked.

My deskmate, Elaine Jenkins, was the kind of girl who was born with a sharp tongue. She loved nothing more than embarrassing me in front of everyone. When I showed up in a brand-new white shirt, she sneered, "Look at the country boy who finally made it to the city. Are you really that worried people will not realize how hopelessly tacky your taste is?" When I switched to contact lenses, she laughed. "Those eyes look like a dead fish's. Taking off your glasses is not going to magically turn you into a handsome guy." Then I won a prize in the math competition. She just rolled her eyes and said, "Please. Everyone knows he stays up all night grinding through problem sets. He practically worke

I can't see anything. I nod and I blow my nose, loudly. This is the lowest I have ever gotten and a stranger is witness to it. It is beyond embarrassing, but also kind of comforting in a way. I would never see her again. I doubt I would even recognise her in a crowd after this ride. My eyes are too busy leaking water to take in her features. I just know she seems maternal.

My parents are music professors, and their university is always hosting these music salons and exchange events. But they never took me. After I graduated from college, I was desperate to see what it was like, so I begged my mother for a visitor's pass. She was busy helping my sister Ella fill out an application for one of those concerts, and she cut me off cold: "Everyone attending is a top-tier musician. You can't even read sheet music—walking in there, you'd just stick out like a sore thumb." A few days later, I stood in the freezing wind, listening to the applause rolling out from the auditorium. My sister stood at center stage, performing alongside a bunch of renowned musicians. That nig

I couldn't take much more. I got up and ran. I had to get away from them. They were both driving me crazy. I ran across the road without looking where I was going and that was when it happened. I didn't hear or see the car coming. All I could remember was my scream before it made impact and my body crumpled to the ground, lifeless.

"And let's not forget—you told me to stay away. So I did. Please don't start this again. I'll repay everything once I start working." Silence. Then he hung up. I thought that was the end of it. But nope. Cedric showed up in Italvia.

TREASURE I'm in Blair's car, driving, minding my own business, probably thinking about how I'm going to build my empire and become the next billionaire CEO, when I notice a truck barreling toward me. Not just any truck. A massive, eighteen-wheeler, "I-eat-small-cars-for-breakfast" kind of truck. My first thought is: Rude. My second thought is: Oh God, I'm going to die. I glance in the rearview mirror and see another truck coming up behind me. Fast. Aggressively fast. Like it has a personal vendetta against my existence.

Whenever we bump into each other, I always wish I have enough courage to speak to you but I get stuck with this thought In my head . "how can I compete with all of them? Would she ever give me a chance?” The sight of you today was breathtaking, seeing you smile always is dreams come true for me. I love the way that your eyes sparkle whenever I look at them, the way your lips slide up a bit whenever you are about to say something funny, the way you take charge, and even the way you study in your private time.

“What was that?” Serena thought as her eyes caught on something by the roadside. Well, not exactly at the road but she had seen it. Just right there by the brush. She had decidedly kept her mind free of any errant thought and jerked when she saw the fleeting movement. She almost convinced herself that it was a squirrel but she knew that the flash she had seen was bigger than any squirrel she had ever seen. When she looked around, she realised that she had come farther than she intended. This part of the city was not where she was familiar.
