“Matteo, people can only atone for their sins if they’re alive. Don’t take this to extremes.” Matteo suddenly smiled. “Sof understands me, but there’s no turning back for me now. I raised a brow and said coolly, “Do I need to spell it out for you?” Jason stared intently at me, as though suppressing some complex cocktail of emotions. After a few seconds, he suddenly said in a low voice, “Don’t regret it later.” I smiled. “The only thing I regret is not seeing all of your true colors earlier.” My mother flew off the handle, jabbing a finger at me. “Nina Gordon, you disappoint us! Are you going to break ties with your family for something so trivial?!” My father was just as furious. “If you insist, then don’t blame us for doing the same. From today onward, you’re no longer our daughter!”

, she was still trying to buy me into her idea of fate. “ And you think I would believe him even if he were to get on his knees? Look, even this musician said it……um…. what's his name again”, I tapped my head, trying to remember his name, “ yes, Alec Benjamin, he said it, the devil doesn't bargain.
