Rhae slowly walked towards the bookshelf off to the side of the room and began skimming the titles. "Tales of Fae," Aynyra grinned, crossing her legs in the bed like a toddler. Rhae pulled the book off the shelf, examining the repeatedly broken spine and the clear wear and tear on the cloth-covered binding. "A children's book?" Rhae questioned peering at the title. Aynyra chuckled, "It's not a children's book, it's based on history. It's fact." Rhae walked over to the bed laughing, "It's myth Aynyra, don't tell me you believe in the Fae."

Heading up to the front counter, I find a kind looking librarian organizing returned books. “I’m sorry to bother you ma’am. I was wondering if you had any books on elf magic. Specifically red magic?” I ask with a touch of trepidation. Wilheim responded pretty intensely to my magic so I’m worried it might set this woman off too. “Oh dear, I don’t know of any elf magic that would be red in color. I would suggest going to the demon section. They are the only ones I know of that would contain red magic.” She says with a smile like what she just said didn’t just completely change my view on the magic in my chest.

So, what Katniss is saying now feels impossible to believe. “I don’t believe you,” I spit, disbelief clouding my thoughts as her words replay in my mind like a scene from a tragic play in a theatre. “You’re making that up. Faes would never use magic to harm others.” “Is that so?” Katniss lets go of my hand and turns to the crowd. “People of Māui, it seems our little Fae here is unaware of the true history of the now-fallen Kingdom of Eris, and the terror unleashed upon the world. Shall we enlighten her?”

He reads aloud, his voice resonating through the room as he describes the fae with silver eyes and her four Ones. The council members listen intently, leaning forward to catch every word. As Permiton finishes, he closes the book with a soft thud, the sound echoing in the silent chamber. The council members glance at one another, their expressions a mixture of awe and

Turning around under him I snake my arms around his neck, pulling him to me. “It’s a book about” I stop to think how to word the book, but all i can think is that it reads like a supernatural p**n book and i love it. “It has a Fae that can grow an extra dick made of ice” Maddox pulls back and frowns at me. “You're reading a book about other mens dicks, are you for real?” He growls out at me and I can't help but smirk at his jealousy.

I shrugged a shoulder. Tania and I rounded one of the rows, finding two faeries—one casting ever-burning flames throughout the library while the other used the air element to gather books from the box and move them to the shelves. I instantly recognized the one shifting the books, "Zora." Tania huffed a laugh, "She is ancient, that one." "Are fae immortal?" There was so little we knew about the fae.
