I managed to stay standing as I opened up the Monster GO app on my phone. Sure enough, there was a Monster nearby. It was named “I’m Sorry Alicia.” I held my phone up to see the digital Monster standing on the chess table. It was drawn in the style of the other monsters, but it was obviously based on Jacob and me. Technically, it was two monsters, one male with blue fur and the other female with beautiful curly hair. Their hands were entwined, making them a single creature. Underneath, the information bar said they were lovers that were meant to be together. Separating them caused great harm.

As they all were frightened, covering their mouths, and were sweating heavily, the monster was walking slowly down in the middle of the street. "!!!" All of them were being careful not to make any movements that would cause loud noises that will likely attract the monster to them. But as the monster was passing by, a small kid, just sitting next to them and being quiet the whole time, accidentally got the bottle next to him to fall on the floor. Everyone was quiet for a moment. "Shit!" A loud bang coming from the outside was heard. They all thought the monster had noticed them, but when they looked outside the monster was laying on the ground with its head all gone.

I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”

I backed away a step, and the wide grin on his face slipped slightly. “I just didn't want you to think that there was something going on there.” He motioned to Cyber’s snoring form. “There isn’t. It had the shadow of a wolf, but its limbs were made of the same silver liquid as Julian’s eyes. It didn't have a face, just a vertical slit of violet light that bled static into the air. "Kael?" Her once-proud face was now covered with deep, crisscrossing scars. Coupled with the cold gleam in her eyes, her whole presence exuded unsettling eeriness.
